The First and Foremost among the Seventy Four Simhasanadhipathis insitituted by Swamy Ramanuja Acharya is Vadhulakula Tilaka Sri Mudaliyandan Swami who was named as Dasarathi by his parents. Sri Mudaliyandan Swamy was the Priya Bagineyar(sisters son) of Swamy Ramanuja.He was the THRIDHANDAM and PADUKA of Swami Ramanuja.
Swami Appachiaranna was the ninth direct decendant of Sri Mudaliyanda Swami. Swami Annavilappan, Thirukumarar of Swami Appachiaranna lived in Singaperumal Koil and as ordained by Lord Narasimhar, was rendering service to Sri Pataladhri Narasimha Perumal. The Koil histroy records that The Lord of Singaperumal Koil Pataladhri Narasimha appeared in the dream of Swami Annavilappan and ordered him to set aright His abode which was covered under sand dunes. Accordingly Swami Annavilappan constructed the temple agraharam for the Kainkaryaparas to live . Swami Annavilappan lived his full life in the Service of Lord Singaperumal Koil.
