K.G. McAbee she sold her first fantasy short story to the great Canadian science fiction/fantasy magazine Challenging Destiny. Shortly afterwards, her story “The Scent of Gardenias” won first prize in the 1998 Writers' Journal Fiction Contest, and her fantasy novel Escape the Past was accepted for publication; it went on to reach #17 on the Ebook 3rd Quarter Bestseller List and win the 1999 Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence from Reviewers International Organization. Her fantasy novel A Fine Impersonation was a 2001 Eppie Fantasy Finalist, and much of her short fiction has been collected in Cast Away the Works of Darkness. Her fantasy novel The Plausible Prince: Part One of the Urrathe Wars Trilogy will soon be available from LTD Books, and Mage of the Nexus: Journey to Malmillard is a December 2001 release from Echelon Press. Her Regency romance, A Will of Her Own, was released by Awe-Struck E-Books in June 2002, and her gothic, A Doleful Kind of Singing, was released by NovelBooks, Inc, in August 2002. |
