"The Lord our God is one Lord"
When God's holy book is so clear that there is only "one God" and that "God is
one", man usually worms his way around the issue and comes up with a
clever way out, to bring us back into a dual or multi god
situation.
The fact of the matter iz ... there
iz only one God and Jesus is his name!
While this same God was known as Jehovah by
the
children of Israel in the Old Testament (bearing in mind God had not
become a man at
this stage - an earthly, mortal, flesh and blood man), 'the name above all names' remained a hidden mystery
to the whole world unto after the cross (Rom. 16:25). This iz what the
apostles got in part and Paul got in full, and has since (through the
preservation of scripture) been passed onto
those who will hear and see, because they believe, "It is written"!
Oh how religionists have got it all
sown up in regards to God and his divinity ("who he really is" ..
"biblically!"). Or so they think they have anyway. Iz the phrase
"God is one" or the phrase "there is one God" true? Answer
... both;
if you happen to be a Bible believer. They are both true quotations from
verses outta the Bible at the end of the day, and are both mentioned
multi times, reinforcing God's true identity.
Okay, herez another one: Iz
the (scriptural) phrase "God is one" or "there is one God" really
meaning "God is one" as in being a person, one person, one
entity/deity, end of story? Or is he ("them") three separate,
eternal, distinct
people (persons, beings - plural) dwelling together as one in unity
only, thus given credence to saying "God is one"?
Answer; if you are a deceived religionist/nominalist believing
tradition on a par or above the word of God, you will claim the latter. Simply because
scripture never mentions two or three persons (plural) but one person
singular. Proof is found here in regards to one God being both
man and God at the same time, but the same person nevertheless:
"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person"!
Thatz one person, one being, existing and acting as one person only, as always! One person being "with God" (the life) and "as God" (the eternal Spirit), made clear by John 1:1.
Bearing in mind also, "Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one!" Plus, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God (Jesus as God) and men, the man Christ Jesus (Jesus as man)"!
Thatz the divinity of God! Or if you like, the divinity of
Christ! ... Jesus being both God and man
at the same time!
Or the Father and the Son fulfilled in the NT as the two witnesses, as
prophesied in the
Old beginning with Genesis 1:26 ... "Let us". The great
fundamental truth of the
Christian faith. Not only is this
true, because it is basic Christian doctrine, but more so because it is
scriptural. Something even the Devil and his hordes know to be
true
and happen get very upset by. Coz they know fully at the end of the day that they (or their fallen
leader Lucifer) never have a dogs show in attaining this position or
getting the opportunity to share in the glory of the most high. It is
also why they try to camouflage this fact from man. Or set up
smokescreens in order to block out this revelation:
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well (going beyond paganism): the devils also believe, and tremble."
Yes, the devils are fully aware there in no eternal triangle in heaven
made up of three eternal separate beings, all being called God together,
only on the basis they happen to be eternally co-existing together as
one. However, the devils are fully trained in the art of
convincing man that God is more than one by this invented
doctrine. Thus confusing and distorting God's real person and
divinity, and making him into a figment of man's imagination, where this
image is worshipped in place of God being His true person. Subtle
and
very effective! In fact, the most effective and clever ploy
ever set up by devils. The very reason the Roman Catholic Church
accommodated it by Christianizing it, in order to gain universal monopoly. Then later when Christendom in
general adopted it, when it came into dominance.
Would this not have been the reason the very first commandment given to the
children of God in the Old Testament (making it the priority) was to do with hearing to the fact
that God was "one Lord" and where we are reminded again by the Lord Jesus over in the New
Testament that he is indeed "one Lord"? I can't think of any other reason why not, can you? Also, Galatians
3:20 jolts our memory again that "God is one". Not to forget to remember "the
devils also believe, and tremble" to the fact "that there is one God", as just stated!
Therefore, there is three
scenarios faced here in order to direct man
away from the one true God: Either (1) confuse who Jesus is or
(2) confuse who God is! Or (3) isolate or separate the two! The two
being
the one and same God of course.
The whole object of the satanic
(or even religious) exercise is to get man away from worshipping and
looking
to the one true God and onto a false one. Or onto a substitute
for
God, in other words. This way if Jesus is not "the way, the
truth,
and the life", but just a good man or just another prophet out of a
host of other well meaning prophets and do-gooders, then the object has
been
accomplished and man is deluded yet again, missing out on
redemption.
Or how about these other common false claims reinforcing God is more
than just one person ... "it was not necessary for God
to be begotten to become a Son!" Or, "it was not necessary for God to be a man, or a child, or a holy
thing (Luke 1:35 - look up 'man child'), because Jesus (the second person in the Godhead) has always been a Son
eternally, as a different person than "God", the head sherang (or first person)!" Yeah, right!!
You see, the one and true living God found in the person of the Lord
Jesus Christ, is always the same jealous God who never tolerates false
worship or man venerating other gods or multi divinities. God either must be
acknowledged and worshipped for who He is, or there is only the prolonged
impending act of His judgement waiting in the wings of those who adhere
to foreign deities. True repentance and calling on his name is
the only remedy in avoiding this wrath and finding everlasting salvation.
However, as just pointed out, the Devil is a lot more subtle than just
getting deceived men
to raise up
blatant molten or graven caricatured images to bow down to and kiss
out in
the open, in the midst of a society that outwardly claims to be
civilized and Christian. Yes, he is lot more clever and cunning
than
this and has modern (christianized) religion as his best card to play, with all itz
sophisticated trappings, at the necessary time. This iz his most
effective, devised and underhanded
way
to get those that name the name of Christ to subtly fall into idolatry
and serve the counterfeit rather than the reality ... the one and
only true living God Almighty himself.
Scripture clearly reveals there is 'another Jesus'. Today, it
comes as a westernised version we have to contend with and
discern. This is the commercialized, popular version, usually with long
blond
hair and blue eyes. An effeminate depiction ... always the
wishy-washy, meek and
mild Jesus, but never the straight and severe prophet, telling
the deceitful religious leaders they are a bunch of wolves or snakes.
This
'other Jesus' is also the Jesus which fits in nicely with the spirit of
Christ Mass (the Mass above all masses). The one that only brings peace and good will to all
men (without conditions),
but never comes as a lion, with a rod of iron, or a sword in his hand,
to draw the
line. Or a rope of cords
to lash out at those making merchandise of His house.
In
other words, the Devil
does not mind man stooping over a cute wee baby scene with plenty of
glitter and bling. Itz far more acceptable to present a
marketable baby
Messiah on clean
straw, in a
well groomed and decorated stable mock-up, with the absence of
afterbirth reminders, animal droppings and the stench smell of vermin
urine.
Or when he is portrayed as a dolled up, entertaining superstar, in a
spectacular movie or
musical setting. Or as a sacred object of reverence fastened to a
wall or presented on a special and
ordained set day. However, he does object and
react violently when men
call out to the one whose "visage was so marred more than any man,"
nailed to
a blood stained, rugged, tortuous dead tree. The One who claimed
to be God in
the flesh, overcoming
sin, death and the grave for you and me. Something the first
person and the third person of triune godhead, could never claim to
have experienced!
In pagan circles we have always had the trinity where 'three gods' are depicted
acting in oneness. Made more subtle, we have within Christendom the trinity where
this time 'three persons' are depicted functioning as one. One
will freely use the title of 'gods' whereas the latter will confine
'the eternal three' to three distinct and independent 'persons' (apparently not gods)
within its structure; masquerading as the biblical Godhead, in order to
satisfy the luke warm or wimpish Christians who still think they "biblically" serve the one true God of
Israel. Do you see the trickery the Devil will use to get man
away from the one true God, to dual, tri or multi deities, leading man
away from the one true immutable God, into false
impressions?
The Lord could never have
become Jesus of Nazareth unless he had become the prophesied 'man
child' first! Think about it? Remember, it is Christ Jesus the man
(starting out as the Son) who is the ONLY mediator between man and God,
as well as being GOD himself! Think about that too, and check it
out (1 Tim, 2:5)! Behold the man!! Behold, and take note ... the man child!!
Getting back to the words of Jesus of Nazareth, who emphatically
said, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the
one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise
the other." It only comes back to the choice of two and in the
words of a ruthless prophet of old, "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the
LORD be God, follow him (not them): but if Baal, then follow him."
You do have a choice despite what some sectors of Christendom
teach. The Holy Bible says "choose you this day whom ye will
serve"! It would be very prudent if you made Jesus Lord of your
life, period, and not just a cheap imitation to appease the
imagination, keeping everyone happy, and without upsetting the status
quo.
Or just acknowledging him as just the second person out of two others
all claiming to be God as one. Fearing God is far more beneficial
than fearing man, with eternal
consequences depending on who we adhere to. To whether we receive
blessing or cursing; to whether we call out to the one true God
of both the Old and New Testaments who claims to be God, Saviour,
Redeemer and Lord of all; or settle for the fake one.
