"Behold The Man" - The Fulness of God

Tradition or trend, or reinventing the Trinity?

Dear Reader, let us begin this treatise with a question; a very important question to embark on.  By giving it much thought you should realize that this question is not your everyday 'sit on the fence' type of question, but a question which not only deals with absolutes but THE absolute (with a wee side reference included here - 1 John 5:12).  Here it is (with no catches, tricks, nor pretences intended -  only an important ultimatum) …  Is knowing the fulness of God embracing the Trinity or is it embracing the Son?

If you have dared to have taken a peep at my previous treatises on exposing the Holy Trinity some of you may have already shrugged them off by now as seeing them as using the extreme element of Christendom to push a point. By this I mean seeing me as only using the more graphic illustrations of the Trinity, teaching from the more traditional point of view, in order to suit my own agenda. Understanding this is the area many have been accustomed to (outside 'the renewal movement', which kicked-off in the late 60's in conjunction with Vatican II, and outside the 'new wave movement' of the 90's, in conjunction with Jubilee 2000, preparing the institutional church for the world's pre-empt New Millennium) who could bag my Trinity series as not relevant for today's modern believer or contemporary church scene.

Therefore, in this following treatise I will take the opportunity to make it clear that I am deliberately honing in on the denominations a little more closer to home, such as the evangelical segment of one of the three branches of Christendom ...  not Catholicism, or Byzantinism, but present day Protestantism!  That's largely covering the religious spectrum from Fundamentalism to Pentecostalism to be precise.  Especially with so much emphasis being pushed over the last 20 to 30 years on receiving the fulness of God, or being urged in seeking after it (in earlier years it was referred to by the Penties as 'tarrying for the Spirit').  Furthermore, I will even try to be a bit more contemporary in any Trinity artwork I display in this particular treatise.  Fair enough!?

Now dear Reader, please ask yourself this following second important question:  In the verse below, is it referring to three separate persons or the same person?  That is, do you not see three functions or manifestations here of the one and same person nevertheless, but never persons in the plural sense?  The Nominalist, Traditionalist or Trinitarian of Christendom would say different however, that this verse is evidence of the Trinity, that God is indeed three separate, distinct people (not just the one Lord manifested this way), functioning as three individuals.  Like the Lord supposedly coming as three distinct men to Abraham (see right image) in Genesis 18 for a start.  Is this really the case?  Please look at this verse (1 Tim. 3:16) very carefully!:

"(1) God was (2) manifest in the flesh, (& 3) justified in the Spirit (nothing to do with three people)" ...  followed by the evidence ..  "seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Yes, 'seen', 'heard and 'believed' while being three separate manifestations, yet the same and one person …  God!  Meaning, God is indeed one as in person, personality and individuality, as well as in uniqueness of singular entity.  This is the fulness of God my friend according to Col. 1:19 in a nutshell ...  Christ Jesus, who happened to come in the flesh!

The doctrine (note, this exact phrase "the doctrine" only kicks in hand-in-hand with the commencement of the NT)

We know from scripture that revelation does not all come at once to the individual, but comes in precepts (stages) as in "line upon line; here a little, and there a little" (Is. 28:10-13).  What's more, we also know that our lives are not changed in an instance when we come to Christ, but this transformation occurs over time, from one height of glory to another (2 Cor. 3:18) as we learn to put on Christ Jesus daily.  It is all to do with being changed from one degree to another, for the better and for Christ's sake, in other words!  However, in regards to the very nature and person of God, this is another story.  With this train of thought in mind here, following is a profound and true statement ...

If you have the man who was glorified, then you have God (the Father)!  This in turn means you have the fulness of God my friend!  Simply because, how can anyone have or embrace God in segments only?  Just the same, how can a son embrace his Dad in segments only, if it is a true relationship?

"Today son, we will work on me being the provider for the family.  I will explain everything about where I work, what I do, how I get paid, and how and why I pay the bills and how this works in regards to you.  I may even give you are quick wee written or oral test before you go to bed to see how you fair.  Tomorrow I will go over some basic points in how I am a husband to you mother.  This will take a few days.  After this, dependant on how you progress, I will explain how and why I am your father as well as a father to your fellow siblings.  In order not to throw too much on you at once, other aspects on how and why I am your father, and how it relates to you, can be covered in a few weeks time.  In the meantime, you can look up the word 'father' in the dictionary and on google, as preparation and groundwork to our intense, ongoing study."

Using another metaphor, does a loaf of bread come baked and served as three types in the one same package?  Or do you have to purchase or bake three separate loafs in order to have a garlic white flavoured loaf, a wholemeal grainy loaf, plus a fruit loaf?  Moreover, the only way you can partake of the Lord's table is by partaking of the one and only same unleavened loaf ...  Christ the bread of life!  Meaning, to know or embrace God is by embracing and living by the (unleavened) doctrine of Christ.  Coz without this living revelation there is no other way:

2 John 1:9.  "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.  He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ (lives by the word, the scriptures, puts on Christ), he hath both the Father and the Son."

No wonder the Traditionalists, Nominalists, Charismatics and the trendy neo Pentecostals, as well as others (who eat from many tables and many loafs), are now teaching doctrine no longer matters or is not important, but whether you have the life or the Spirit or not.  This may sound kool, groovy, and in vogue, but it is nothing to do with the fulness of God, but undeniably the fulness of error.  Furthermore, no wonder we are witnessing at present  the occurrence of the latter day departure from such verses as the following (1 Tim. 4:16) which (not surprisingly) are never included in Evangelical tracks on "how to be saved" or "how to be born again".  Nor over the pulpits of Christendom, to move people from growing fat to growing up:

"Take heed unto thyself (dealing with the enemy 'within' and not the enemy 'without'), and unto the doctrine (the doctine?); continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."

Notice the first words here ...  "take heed unto thyself"!  This is priority.  Not looking to a man because he has titles before his name or is recommended because he is considered good at preaching and praying or apparently knows his way around the bible.  What's more, so much for marching around your church or home seven times!  Or shouting at and rebuking the invisible enemy 'without' residing over your city, apparently spoiling things for your church's well being and future.  Furthermore, so much for the OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) 'easy believism' brigade coupled with the modern day Calvinistic preset/preselect doctrines with suchlike tagged notions as …  "your salvation state can never be altered irrespective of what you have done or do, due to the fact it was set in concrete before you were born, aeons of ages before time!"

In other words, according to this fixed paradox, salvation is never based on what you ever do, pre or post conversion; coz God has already individually sealed it, or hasn't sealed it (dependant on His choice and nothing to do with yours), due to what was placed on His blueprint in heaven prior to Creation, in contrast to what Jesus said in John 7:17.  Let's break it down:

"If any man (the whosoever – not the predepositioned, the preselect, the predetermined, the preordained, or the predestined) will do his (God's will - not just going through the motions in reading or copying someone else's prayer, or line, or standing at a manmade altar with a bowed head), he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."

Sounds like the doctrine is of utmost importance to me!  Like it is even imperative for the believer to apply, know, continue in and experience.  As well as going hand-in-hand with obedience to God's will!  Not to forget that when it saves you it can also save others by others observing your miraculous change in behaviour and attitude (even lifestyle) and taking it further ... "for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee"!  Furthermore, looks like being instructed in working "out your own salvation with fear and trembling" is not just a poetic phrase or a nice quote for rookies in the faith after all, but really means what it says!

I can't ever recall being taught in the IC that the doctrine saved people (also read Romans 6:16-18) let alone having to personally work out your own salvation everyday in your own walk ("with fear and trembling" not being omitted).  I only kept hearing how doctrine was not important or was not as important as "living" or "experiencing the life!"  Whatever that life was.  Or how the truth will set you free!  Whatever that truth was.  However, I did keep hearing about "church life" or "the life of our church" so proudly spoken over the pulpit and can now understand why.  The idea was, and is, to come to "church" and "get a zest for life" and "get excited over life" (I just read this in our local paper this morning from a pastor's plug, who has just opened the latest Penty church in town).  Too bad the pastors don't teach this life is Christ and not the church they make their supporters and religious constituents idolize and go to great ends to justify.  Trouble is, the IC has always associated the doctrine as being akin to, or the same as "the law".  Not so!  Have you ever heard this doctrine before …  the doctrine that is?  It is recorded here in Acts 13:12 and has nothing to do with the old covenant or Moses, or the letter which killeth.  But everything to do with salvation and our new life in Christ.  Remember, as stated and proven before ...  it was never introduced until the NT came into effect:

"Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord."

Therefore, we are not talking about a stand-alone doctrine here, but the doctrine of the Lord!

Ever been to a church or worked with churchy people (a certain brand of religionist) at your place of employment?  They stand out like a sore thumb at times, don't they?  They luv to talk about their church, its "life" (really meaning fostered environment) and activities, but they find it very hard to talk about Jesus.  Almost like He was a stranger to them.  Oh how they luv and dwell on what happened at their meetings, their camp retreats, catching up on the latest gossip/tittle-tattle between their fellow attendees; as well as fussing over their pastor, his side-kick apprentice (and their dear wives and family) and everyone who has (or "sadly" doesn't have) a blossoming future within the club.  However, they really sound like (or act like) they don't know Jesus.  Almost like they are ashamed to talk about Him and therefore hide behind their churchy talk or religious jargon.

While the Moslem world is out to convert the rest of the world to Allah (without apology and without hiding their intentions - very successfully too, my I add), the "Christian" world is either too heart struck or limp on being "relevant", "accommodating", "non offending" and working out their "diverse" worship practices mutually together, or sharing them around (without "fear and trembling" - irrespective of spiritual 'new birth', 'still birth' or 'non birth' experienced by fellow members), in order to look very attractive before the world and not be seen as a stumbling block.  Basically, what I am saying here is that the urgency and main thrust of why we are still actually and very temporarily here in the world (for the chief purpose of spreading the gospel - the good news) has been replaced with the obsession of unscriptural or manufactured 'corporate worship'.  This is because someone has done a beautiful slick job in playing down and diluting the word of God, in that it becomes pretty meaningless and pointless in the end, where doctrine is slowly phased out of the picture.  Not to forget to mention large portions of the OC (the obsolete types and shadows) being married in with the NC as a new brand, or reinvented brand, of packaged "Christianity".

Furthermore, while the modern day Bible corrector, Bible underminer, or Bible corrupter, wishes to rob (purloin) you of your Bible, pushing aside the doctrine (or even doctrine …  good sound doctrine, may I add) biblical doctrine encourages us to continue in the doctrine (Titus 2:10).  Thatz in the doctrine of the one and only (stand-alone) Lord, without beating round the bush!

To expound more (with no apologies for sharing with such thorough in-depth intensity - please bear with me), this is in the same NT context as walking in the Spirit (Gal. 5:16 - the 'Spirit' that is), walking in the truth (2 John 1:4 - remembering, 'the truth' like 'the life' is a person), walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord (Luke 1:6 - "are you sure the Hebrew root or original Greek agrees with this?")
, walking in the day (John 11:9 - where things should always be clear and out in the open), walking in the light (1 John 1:7 - this has got absolutely nothing to do with razzle-dazzle, bling and glitter), walking in the fear of the Lord (Acts 9:31 - "Whatz that?" some would say), walking in newness of life (Rom. 6:4 - remember, the life is not from your denomination but from above), walking in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham (Rom. 4:12 - "Abraham our father?  I thought Gawd was!"), walking in good works (please don't react at this one - check it out first - Ep. 2:10 - oh, and you're be surprised at the rest - Matt. 5:16, John 10:32, 1 Tim. 2:10, 5:10, 5:25, 6:18, 2 Tim. 3:17, Tit. 2:7, 2:14, 3:8, 3:14, Heb. 10:24, 1 Pet. 2:12 ), walking in the love of Christ (must be a favourite - "Gawd luvz us all to bits, doesn't He, irrespective of what we do with the Son?").

To boot, this is also in NT context with continuing in Jesus' word (John 8:31), continuing in the grace of God (Acts 13:43 - "how can you walk in grace?  Soundz conditional to me!"), continuing in the faith (Acts 14:22), continuing in his goodness (Rom. 11:22 - many would rather condemn people to hell on first impressions), continuing instant in prayer (Rom. 12:12 - before consulting your pastor or spiritual adviser first), continuing in the faith grounded and settled (Col. 1:23), continuing in prayer (Col. 4:2 ), continuing in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety (aimed specifically at the ladies here -1 Tim. 2:15), continuing in the gifts (1 Tim. 4:14-17 - "I thought these were done away with when King Jim handed us his Bible, or earlier when the Gentiles started getting saved?"), continuing in the Son, and in the Father (1 John 2:24 - as proven umpteen times, nothing to do with the Trinity), and so forth:

"Not purloining (stealing time), but shewing all good fidelity; that they (secular bosses and work mates) may adorn (hold in esteem) the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things."

I didn't know that the world was suppose to adorn the doctrineThe doctrine of Christ that is!  And it wont, if we don't observe, heed, walk, abide and continue in it.  This simply means ...  to live the life continually!  As the old worn out cliché goes ...  "walk the talk"!  Yes, they (the outsiders) don't see God coz God is not there.  He is not in it, as far as they are concerned.  They don't see God with us, in other words:

2 John 1:9.  "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God."

That's straight to the point, is it not?  Also, I know they (those outside - the unbelievers) can't abide in, or continue in the doctrine, but they can adorn it.  Wow!  And this depends on us of course: Are we really a living epistle "known and read of all men"?  Are we really letting our lights "so shine before men, that they may see (our) good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"?  Are we truly and honestly the salt of the earth as Jesus said we were supposed to be?  If you reckon I have got it wrong here, then read (which also means "to heed") this next passage and ask God whether it applies to us under the New Cuv, or is to be ignored, or just seen as an 'optional extra', or a nice 'add-on' adornment to our faith?  Here we go then (Titus 2:2-8):

" ...  in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned (by those outsiders observing our life); that he that is of the contrary part (the unconverted) may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you."

Here's the difference between abiding in the doctrine, allowing it to speak to the world as bona fide from God, or allowing it to be stolen from you by a Bible corrector as 1 Tim. 6:2-4.  Then discredited before the unsaved (not held in esteem in other words) by being sucked into believing religious works as opposed to simple obedience.  Thatz by placing church devotion and attendance above loving the Lord by our lives, and merely doing what He says:

"These things teach and exhort.  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words"!

Actually, this is what the word says in regards to those who purloin you of your Bible (I've learnt a new word) or rob you of the doctrine of Christ.  This must include Trinitarians and Traditionalists, if this treatise is bang-on in regards to the doctrine (Rom. 16:17).  Pretty tough stuff really!  Not to forget that Jesus spoke "of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees" in great contrast to the gospel.  These were the doctrines taught by the religious leaders of the day who wanted the masses looking to them instead of finding the kingdom (ring a bell?).  They were prepared to let the people they were supposed to care and be responsible for, go to hell (literally) rather than lose their own jobs.  Nor to forget to mention the many tables and loafs, or religious alibis and pet themes that Christendom bandies about, in order to also keep their little kingdoms intact.  Yes, at the end of the day (whether you like the word doctrine or not - 'Church Restorationists' prefer and go all cluckie over de "Greek" of course) religionists always have their doctrines that pervert the truth and bend things for their own agenda:

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."

Good advice, wouldn't you say?  Avoidance is not snobbery or seclusion in this case.  Just as resistance is not rebellion.  With this all said and done, here is more things to ponder and conclude from the written word (n'd'English) in regards to the doctrine put to the reader in question form:

Who is the doctrine in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (Acts 13:12, 2 John 1:9, 1 Tim. 6:1)!

Who is the (previously hidden) mystery in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (Rom. 16:25-27, Eph. 3:3-5, Col 1:26, 4:3, 1 Tim. 3:16)!

Who is the (previously hidden) revelation in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (Rom. 16:25-27, Gal. 1:12, Eph. 1:17, 3:3-5, 1 Pet. 1:13, Rev. 1:1 till end)!

Who is the (previously hidden) name in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (Zep. 3:9, Ph. 2:9, 1 John 3:23, 1 John 5:13 Rev. 3:2, 19:12)!

Who is the (one) bread of life, unleavened loaf, passover meal and table of the Lord (plus a few more important metaphors) in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (John 6: 32, 35 & 48, Ex. 29:23, Mark 8:14, 1 Cor. 5: 7-8, 10:21)!

Who is the direct manifestation of God on earth?  It is the one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (John 1:1, Col. 1:26, 2 Tim. 1:10, 3:16, 1 John 1:2, 3:8, 4:9)!

Who is the expressed image and likeness of God in scripture?  It is the one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (John 14:9, 1 Cor. 11:7, 2 Cor. 4:4, Col. 1:15, Heb 1:3, Phil. 2:6)!

Who is the fulness of the Godhead in scripture?  It is one person only ...  the man Christ Jesus, according to scripture (Col 2:2-3)!

Here'z more:  You want to know God do you?  You really want to know GOD intimately in all His fulness in everything He represents and every facet He covers in His nature, as our closest friend, big brother, father figure and Dad; as well as guardian, saviour, deliverer and redeemer?  We are getting to the nitty gritty now, in this whole series of Trinity articles ...

Do you really know Him?  Him that is ...  one intimate,
personal and communing Person!  Is He really your ALL in ALL as the saying or line goes?  Or is this just another shallow cliché or more wishful thinking, to convince yourself with, or impress your peers with?  Or how about another unattainable goal or just downright fantasy?  Coz at the end of the day, everyone looks for a hero.  Usually someone with social or political clout, who can come and change things for the better and put things right.  Yeah, and for whose sake?  Ours or His?  Howabout someone with such importance and uniqueness that we can actually know personally and intimately?  How about a prince coming to claim his crown, to do good and only put things right for everyone?  On His own terms and for His own name sake, that is!  Righteously, fairly and justly!  Cos He knows best and what's best for us!  We don't!

Yes, JESUS is that prince!  Get your mind on Him and not on a fable or an illusion of Two or Three 'Great Ones'!  He is that Prince of peace, Prince of princes, Prince of host, Prince of life.

You want THE LIFE do you?  Well, you can't have it without the Prince of life!  It is as simple as that!  The truth is, the system can't give you that illusive life it claims to hand out.  The so-called life it falsely creates, to lure the world and offer their god, whether as a packaged 'three', 'two' or 'one'.

Just as you can't have true and lasting peace without having the Prince of peace, you can't have the life without the Prince of life.  He is also the Prince of the kings of the the earth, where eventually every ruler (good or froward - from the religious professional to the obvious tyrant) will be subservient to Him.  Better to wilfully yield now and know His goodness, than be forced to yield later and know only His severity.

Her'za very healthy, timely and warmly reminder ...  "HE THAT HATH THE SON HATH LIFE: AND HE THAT HATH NOT THE SON HATH NOT LIFE!  You should know it!  Or at least be very familiar with it!  No system or religious institution can give it to you, but only offer you a substitute!  A counterfeit!  Or a clever synthetic alternative!  No other man has said and can claim (without guile, pretence or deceit), "I am THE LIFE," other than the man from Galilee.  Take onboard this Son, the Son, and you take onboard the life.  Behold this man and you behold the living God!

Beholding the man or the Three?

You want both God and the man Christ Jesus (who 'talked the talk and walked the walk' - the same God and person by the way) then you need to hear and heed the word instead of listening to man where you can somehow avoid
continuing (abiding) in the doctrine.  Remember, it is also written that there is "divers and strange doctrines (plural)", both the "doctrines of devils (plural)" and the "doctrines of men (plural)".  In contrast to the doctrine (the singular and stand-alone Christ), whereby we know the fulness of God:

Eph. 3:17-20.  "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

As with all things Godwards, it looks like we receive the fulness of God by faith (revelation, what is unseen) and by applying it to our life by faith by being a doer of the word.  Besides, faith only comes by hearing the word, as we know and have been taught.  Are you hearing or are you just listening?  Listening to second-hand "revelation" or what has filtered down through "the ministry" that is!  Or been approved by a church government!  No point being filled with de Spirit of God unless we believe or know who He is, and who He relates to, and who He reveals, as well as points to, and glorifies.  After all, there is 'another spirit' according to the word.  No doubt this spirit is the one who glorifies himself, shifts the emphasis away from Jesus and isolates or dumbs down His divinity; as well as promoting either a two faced, or a three faced, or a three headed godhead.

There was a prophesy in the OT (Zec. 6:12) which spoke of the man to come which said (or where the LORD - God Almighty - spoke of the Lord, the man child to come):

"And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:  Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne (
"after the order of Melchisedec" - more on this later): and the counsel of peace shall be between them both."

Fulfilled in the NT
(John 19:5) and not the way man would perceive or would like to perceive Him:

"Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!"

The "spiritual" leaders and religionists would not, or did not want to behold Him as their King (verse 14 ...
Behold your King!) as well as God's priest coming to His temple.  However, they had Him crucified instead, beholding Him as an impostor.  They had the wrong spirit and did not want the Spirit of truth.  "What is truth?" said Pilate while beholding the Man.  Many today may not out rightly crucify the man they claim to follow (Pilate knew He was innocent while going with the crowd), but refuse the Spirit of truth for the counterfeit and dual up with the three headed or three person godhead, in cahoots.  This is because it is easier for man, as it is also open-ended and gives man an 'out'.

Why is there so much apostasy and error today?  Because this was prophesied of the last days when people would be handed over to delusion.  By receiving the wrong spirit and not the Spirit of truth, it should be obvious then that the truth is no longer in the equation.  Because truth is no longer present, this also means God is not present.  In effect this also means the power of God is no longer in the midst, only
pretence, conjured up or manufactured "life" and hot air.  Meaning, the presence of God has now been replaced with a fabricated atmosphere using music, oration, mass compliance and pumped up "happy clappy" or "praise and worship" times.  In reality you are left with nothing from the one true God to behold.

The counterfeit Holy Ghost ("another spirit" - 2 Cor. 11:4)

I use to be a Pentecostal (well, that's what I was told I was upon inception into "the Church", which later turned out to be another denomination).  In this fragmented movement, which soon after substituted the name "Pentecostal" for "Charismatic" (well, God was apparently doing a "new thing"), I constantly heard about "getting the fulness of God" or "having" or "receiving the full gospel".  The notion was you were not a believer living in the fulness, or experiencing the fulness of God, unless you were actually a Pentecostal (hey, I even looked up the popular tag "Foursquare" in my bible concordance and could not find this word/title/phrase anywhere, let alone the word Pentecostal).

This teaching was rife without a word of exaggeration!  That's the teaching God was doing a "new thing", commencing with the ushering in of the 20th Century by raising or renewing the Pentecostal Church; the supposed "original" church, that was apparently asleep through the Dark Ages (as part of God's "restoration" programme).  Or hiding out in the Alps and other remote places (not to forget to mention the Appalachians), until the system got better educated, more civilized and became more understanding.

In this movement it didn't so much matter if you were displaying the fruits of repentance or were truly changed by applying the word daily.  As long as you could go through all the expected mechanisms in meetings, like lifting your hands and ad-libbing with songs or even shouting "in unison" "in the Spirit".  Or by showing how liberated you were by "dancing in the Spirit" and becoming a "spiritual" extrovert.  Not to forget to mention 'talking the talk' during the week outta church, while being "off duty".  All the while not knowing how to relate to ordinary people in the everyday secular world, or being unable to empathize with sinners.  "You had the fulness of God, man!" if you were able to go through all the expected churchy motions, use the right "spiritual" lingo and could say you had received da "second blessing"!  Aka "the baptism (or infilling) of the Holy Ghost" ("Holy Spirit" if you now considered  yourself Charismatic).

The idea was to "get 'saved' first, so you could attend church."  Then get 'filled' second (or third - after water baptism) in order to prove it!  Until the day I read in scripture where Jesus said:

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness (not the so-called supernatural by the way): for they shall be filled."

To me, this meant somewhere along the track the Penty doctrine was a bit skew-whiff.  Moreover, as I ventured deeper into the scripture, not only did I discover the Penties were a bit mucked up doctrinally (this didn't matter somehow, as doctrine was not important now) but so were ALL the fragmented denominations.  Hence, the very reason they were denominations (fake man-made churches) in the first place.  Also, I discovered that by rubbing shoulders with Charismatics and being under their "spiritual umbrella" ("the ministry" now permitted this – even endorsed it - even demanded it) their concept was like this following statement ...  "you don't have the fulness of God unless you have experienced 'spiritual renewal'" that was apparently taking place, and sweeping through the mainland denominations.  Sometimes referred to as 'church renewal'.  Or once-upon-a-time...  'a spiritual awakening' or 'Holy Ghost revival'.

Somehow, the spiritual paradigm had apparently shifted!

This basically meant instead of walking away from your denomination due to its unscriptural basis and man-centred orientation (what the original Penties - giving credit where due - originally taught by the way), you were obliged to stay and reach others with this so-called renewal experience.  The biblical word 'separation' was now apparently outdated and being replaced with the phrase "building bridges" or "being sensitive to the Spirit".  Or no longer viewing religious outsiders as "heretics" but replacing the term with the warmer phrase of "separated brethren".  Plus the fact they told you how the church sacraments, liturgy and traditions were not wrong after all, but were now more enhanced and meaningful in your life than ever.  Furthermore, in regards to being born again?  Oh, that came about when you were baptized into the Church as a baby or confirmed by it as you entered puberty!

Yes, apparently God was adding a new dimension to your life (or your faith) thanks to "the new thing" God was doing in all the mainline denominations, which you were highly encouraged to embrace without question (after all, how can you question the Spirit of God, the Third Person of The Trinity, along with His unusual antics - "He comes and goes like the wind you know?").  F'instance, if you were say a Catholic, the veneration of Mary became more enriched than ever.  If you just happened to be an Angle Can (okay ...  Anglican) or something, the liturgy become a lot more deeper in meaning.  If you happened to be sprinkled a Press Button (okay ...  Presbyterian) John Knox and the Reformers were more relevant than ever and regeneration wasn't necessary, as you neatly and delicately got it back then as a baby.  Get the drift?  Very convenient and liberal of "Him", wouldn't you say?

Furthermore, the Penty denominations in large bought this "new thing" injection/teaching ...  hook, line and sinker.  Because they had believed they were the "new thing" at the turn of the Century, bringing a more enlightened world the full goods, then how (and here iz d'logic) could you limit 'the cloud by day and the fire by night' if He choose to move on?  If "Gawd" just happened to be a dispensationalist after all, then it was somebody else's turn for the blessing.  Proof would be by adopting "the second blessing" instead of resisting it!  Somehow biblical regeneration would no longer be necessary.

At the end of the day, you would actually think that true renewal or spiritual revival would be an indictment against the very existence of these denominations anyway (I thought old wine skins were blown away in Acts Two?), and that they would all somehow admit that the one they were remaining faithful to and supporting to the end, irrespective of which one you happened to be born or christened into, or found yourself attending, was not right doctrinally in the first place.  Moreover, by the very fact you were obliged to reach the spiritually dead in your church by worshiping God together with them, in order for them to somehow ignite with the "fire of God" (I thought the fire was for refinement anyway and being only for God's kids) shouldn't this also be an indictment against attending a dead and unregenerate fellowship from onset?

No, it appeared that doctrine was no longer important but whether you had the experience or not.  Moreover, whether you were under "authority" (yielded to an ordained minister as your spiritual mentor) or not (yes, all roads lead to Rome – even the well meaning ones).  In actual fact, you had to be aligned with a denomination by being under some sort of an "official" pastor (the name of the group/church/minister was apparently no longer important this time).  In fact, I had constantly heard how doctrine was not important but preaching and ministering LIFE; with LIFE being the all important thing.  I mean, Paul taught the importance of doctrine, didn't he?  That's ...  true, right, good, sound (look 'em up), doctrine!  Too bad the Penties and Fundies did not realize this doctrine came as walking and breathing flesh and blood, anyway!  And that by being hellbent on "building bridges", being "sensitive" and "coming under officialdom's authority" meant you were "homeward" bound, and on course for Rome, anyway.

Here'za 2nd John 1:9 reminder:

"He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ (lives by the word, the scriptures), he hath both the Father and the Son."

The LORD or the Lord?  The Spirit or the manifestation of the Spirit?

However, to get the right doctrine we need to realize the doctrine is found in a person (singular) and not in a system or format.  Furthermore, that person is Christ!  It is found in Him and not in a creed, tradition, catechism, experience, dogma, triune framework, or what has been accepted as 'the run of the mill' thing, because qualified or lovely men approved it.  Or your mamma or quiet mannered "submitted" wife happened to go all gooey gaga over.  Or the Spirit just happened to move in that direction, which you were not allowed to question one iota ...  "just let go and flow, man!"  Or ...  "just open up and receive, Brother!"  After all, why did these words of Jesus (reiterating from an OT Psalm) only click with the common folk?:

"For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.  David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son?  And the common people (from laity, pew warmers, to the everyday man in the street) heard him gladly."

At this point in time may I also ask you this? ...  "whence is he (that's Jesus the Lord) his (God's) son?"

Please understand this and do some serious digging for yourself ...  Whenever scripture calls the Lord "the LORD" spelt with capitals (always in the OT as Jesus of Nazareth had not come at this stage) it is always referring to God Almighty, the great eternal invisible God.  However, when the Lord is mentioned as "the Lord" in the OT or NT (in lower case letters this time), it is always referring to either Jesus as the angel of the Lord (Melchisedec - more on this later) or in the prophetic sense of Jesus the Son to come, born of a woman and being God in the flesh.  Or the fulfilment of this promise, which has now come to pass.

Yes ...  no Son back then!  That's coz there had to be a later, future day to come!  When "the LORD" would become "the Lord", born from a woman, in the days of His flesh (see the difference - carefully!).

To expound or come from another angle (and remember, you can only get this from 'the Holy Bible' and not from a modern perverted one), in order to make this clear ...  when 'GOD' or 'the LORD' (in capitals) is among us, it is in the Spirit or through the Spirit that God is present or made manifest.  When 'God or the Lord' (lower case letters) is among us (or was among us), it was in the flesh through Jesus of Nazareth, or as the glorified Jesus being present or manifested in the Spirit.

Here are some following examples from scripture differentiating the two ('the Father and the Son' - 'the LORD and the Lord') both Jesus' Godship (His deity) and Jesus' manhood (coming in the flesh and being glorified as a man - again, see the difference, carefully!).  You will see how scripture makes this a major part of doctrine.  Therefore, it is very important for revelation, in understanding the Lordship of Christ, and understanding Deity and instruction in righteousness.  This may appear mundane, but just as the genealogies throughout scripture can be a bore to some, this undeniably deserves a most thorough investigation and vital study, tagged with a blessing of course (I promise):

Straight away on entering the NT we find this phrase "Lord; and" after the leaving the OT, and where the same phrase "LORD; and" is almost always found in capitals.  Out of the hundreds of times used in the OT, we only discover a couple of times when the semicolon or comma is removed to "LORD and" or "Lord and".  Why is this so?  As explained earlier the LORD (speaking of His Godship) has now come to earth as a man and personalized Himself to man as a man (the Word becoming flesh) but glorified in the Spirit in His glorified status, after the ascension.  Meaning, whether LORD or Lord we are dealing with the same person here nevertheless, and not a dual godhead or a God who can be two separate and individual beings, one called the LORD and the other called the Lord.  Concluding here that whenever scripture speaks of "the Lord" (on many occasions as "the LORD" in the OT) it is referring to the same and one person alone ...  God the LORD!

Jehovah or Baal (the LORD or a lord)

In addition, a few lines down we will examine 1 Kings 18:39 in the same context.  The amazing thing here is that we discover Baal (a lord), as the one chief pagan name, is actually representing many gods. Whereas in contrast, Jehovah is always representing the one true God (verses 24, 25).  This is also where Elijah (the true servant of God) makes a very important announcement in regards to his God, the one true God of Israel, in great contrast to the pagan Queen, where Jezebel's Baal is representing many gods ...

"let him (not them) be God
"!

Or as the one and final ultimatum Elijah gives to God's backslidden apostate people (v. 21) ...

"How long halt ye between two opinions (the difference between a multi or one God being true)? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal (representing multi persons/gods), then follow him (singular)."

The final glorious outcome repeated, and therefore reinforced in the same verse (v. 39) ...

"And when all the people saw it (in contrast to their gods), they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he (not they) is the God; the LORD, he
(not they) is the God."

Everyone needs to see here, as well as take special note, how the word is making clear reference and sharp distinction towards and between Elijah's (the man of God) ONE true God and Jezebel's (the pagan prophetess) Baal representing multi gods!  F'instance, take a look at the Baal trinity to the right.  Here we have
Osiris flanked by Horus and Isis.  This is just like the Father being flanked by Jesus and the Holy Spirit in the Holy Trinity.  This is also where I will have to tag onto this subheading and reiterate with more blessed scriptural references, gloriously and victoriously, in accordance and in agreement with God's wonderful word:

"Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered"!  " Let God be magnified"!  Not to forget to declare from the NT ...  "let God be true, but every man a liar"!

Let this sink in:  Never, ever, can the TRIUNE or MULTI god called Baal be true
(for that matter), who the prophetess and queen of apostasy represented!  However, in great contrast, it is always the ONE and only true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Elijah and the whole Bible, including the New Testament, that the true people of God look to and fully acknowledge to who He is.  Testified here in written form (Ps. 83:18)

"That men may know that thou (not them), whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."

Oh, you may be thinking now I left something out by not proving Baal is the name of many gods (or covers many gods) whereas JEHOVAH is the one true God Almighty!  "Wherez the proof?" you may add!  Here it is and straight from the word of God ... in regards to Elijah challenging the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:4):

"And call ye on the name (Baal) of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him (Jehovah) be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken."

Here's more from the next verse, if you are still not satisfied:

"And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on
the name of your gods"!

Do you see it ...  "your gods" plural and in the multi sense!  Elijah only knew of, and acknowledged ONE GOD, and proved all-out the ONE TRUE GOD!

In summery:

JEHOVAH (always spelt in capitals as the standalone true God of Israel, God's people) means ...  "I AM THAT I AM".  Not ...  "We are who we are"!  Nor ...  "I am who we are"!  Nor ...  We are who I am"!  No,
"I AM THAT I AM"!  With a very good reason why the line spoken by God Himself is all in capitals as is the name JEHOVAH found consistently throughout the whole OT.

In the NT, JEHOVAH is replaced with JESUS (the same person nevertheless, but with a shift in name) which both universalizes and personalizes the Hebraic name to the whole world (from Greek to English - JESUS) as the one name and one same person they can call out to as 1 John 4:14:

"And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world."

Baal (which comes in many varieties and types
of Bal/Bel names, plus many more camouflaged pagan names, with scrambled letters or alien phrases ) means ...  numerous/multi/many deities; localized to suit the locality and culture of a people.  A name of invention, which gives the people a household name to use in regards to fertility, the productive forces, sun veneration, nature, mother-earth and anything that will replace the one personal Creator/God, "with whom we have to do", with false, dead, lifeless deities.  Whereas fallen man must call out to the one true biblical God in repentance, to get and to know His mercy and forgiveness before any reconciliation with his Maker, Friend and Creator can be made; with all pagan, foreign, ancestral and counterfeit gods and goddesses being renounced fully.

In the NT, Baal has not ceased to being a relevant, foreign, pagan group of false deities as many would say (never limiting it/him to the OT), but has gone more underground and disguises itself behind (1) another Jesus, (2) another spirit, and (3) another gospel (the false trinity), as well as using the Trinity as a great "Christian" facade to deceive and cause God's people to unbeknownly sink back into a christianized form of idolatry or delusion.

Ps 96:5.  "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD (God alone and one person) made the heavens."

The one stand alone God

Have you given it much thought in regards to differentiating Jesus the man from Jesus as God (the Lord from the LORD)?  There are many instances throughout the NT that can be used as examples.  Following is just a few.  Remember, Jesus had to grow in statue and wisdom (through maturity) and find out His calling through His relationship with the Father.  This was the man!  This was the man dependant upon revelation.  Dependant upon what the Father showed Him; coz without the Father He could do nothing.  However, He never sinned and was a perfect and upright man.  His very nature was divine!

Whattabout Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness?  Scripture says "for God cannot be tempted with evil"!  Yet Jesus the man was in the wilderness having not eaten for weeks but overcoming the Devil in the midst of His struggle and trails, by not relying on His own humanity but strength from on high to get by ...  calling out to the Father.

Then we have Jesus suffering on the cross and calling out "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"  This was the man calling out to the most High.  Yes, Jesus in His weakness as man calling out to His almighty Father for divine support and comfort ...  His Father being God and the same person.  This is how His strength (God's) is perfected in (mans) weaknesses, while Jesus being man was not exempt from.  The mystery revealed of Jesus as both man and as God!  Or God being God Almighty, while at the same time, God in the flesh!

If you ponder more over this truth (Jesus as both fully man and fully God, being a stand alone God minus attachments) than trying to understand something like the Holy Trinity concept, which can never be understood, then you will be focusing on who God is and not on a redefined God to "biblically" fit into a box (or triangle) man has made for himself.  Something the Devil does not want you to give much attention to.  Only for you to give token reference to, in order to make your Christian belief credible while not fully scriptural and proven.  Or, to justify your life and existence as a supposed Bible believing Christian (after all, this is your stance and inclination in the eyes of others) when in actual fact you are not.  Only giving the appearance that you are, for self-preservation purposes.  Plus, allowing yourself a good measure, sense and feeling of adulation and justification, as well as appeasement to others, through family ties, peer pressure and self reassurance, that you are really, "deep down", that good, redeemed and well meaningful guy, looking to God, after all.

To give reference to Jesus is imperative, if you call yourself or want to be seen as a Christian.  However, to embrace Jesus as God in His fulness, with no add-ons or subtractions to His divinity and nature, is another story.  This can only be done when one abandons the "second person" of the Godhead theory, and therefore inevitably calls into question the whole concept of the Triune
hoax (three coequal divine persons dwelling mutually and eternally in heaven together).

Therefore, please ponder and give this verse much thought?  What is the Lord really saying here?  Are we really to give our own interpretation, or someone's spin on what it is really and clearly saying and conveying in written language?  Or are we to take it for what it really means and says?
Here is Psalm 86:10 in clear, direct and plain speech (where there is nothing rhetorical, technical, bombastic, hidden, flowery, deep, heavy or esoterical, hiding behind an obscure or second meaning):

"For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone."

Thou art GOD!!  Moreover, thou art God ALONE!!  Who is it referring to when it says ...  thou?  Does not ALONE mean ALONE?  Is not THOU in the singular sense?  In scripture we find the Godhead ...  God with one head and therefore one face (notta two or three faced God) who and where the 'thou person' (not the 'them persons') stands ALONE!  Thou (one person) art God alone"!  Without co equals, co substances, and co persons, to be precise!

Repeat ...  thou (not them) art God ALONE!!  What this verse is obviously declaring is the fact God is God alone, end of story, period (as they say in the States)!  In other words, scripture reveals plainly and clearly as well as being upfront, without a hidden agenda, or muffled, muzzled, or uncovered truth, that God is stand alone!  Yes, He is a stand alone God!  Oh, and if you think I am quoting just one (stand alone) verse to enforce a point, let's prove I am rightly dividing and not taking one verse outta context to suit what's best for me.  No, but reaffirming an important truth by presenting other verses in its support, using two or three or more written witnesses as back-up, to what the Bible clearly says, in other words:

Deut. 32:12.  "So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him (no co substances, co persons, or co equals to be attached to)."

This verse is clear and straight to the point that God alone leads His people and that there is no other god or gods or divine persons involved.  Nor others for His children to acknowledge or look to.  Let's make this clear, God was alone as one person and did not come with one or two others, claiming to be separate yet equal with Him.

2 Kings 19:15 (& see Is. 37:16).  "And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou (not them) hast made heaven and earth."

One Maker, one Creator, who is one God over all, that is ... alone!  God alone ...  thou art the God!  Here is more:

Ne. 9:6.  "Thou, even thou (not them), art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou (not them) preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee (singular)."

Yes ...  even thou, art LORD alone!  Thatz One stand alone Lord, as well as one stand alone God!

This verse also counter claims the "let us make man in our image" teaching that two or three people, as God, were creating man.  Not dispelling the fact this verse was prophetic of the Father Son relationship to come, reflecting or being reflected by the Creation of man in God's (His) very own image and expressed likeness.  It also reaffirms that there was and is only one Maker/Creator God, not three.  Confirmed again by the following verse:

Is. 44:24.  "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he (not them) that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD (singular) that maketh all things (including man); that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself (not ourselves)."

God, our Maker and Creator stands alone by Himself ...  He even uses the word "myself".  How can He claim to be alone and by "myself" if He shares the Godhead with two other equally important co equal seperate people?  Just can't be done!  For, "I am the LORD, and there is none else."  Repeat ...  none (no one) else!

Ps 136:4.  "To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his (singular) mercy endureth for ever."

This verse confirms and reinforces that God standing and being as one person alone, does great wonders and shows great mercy by and through Himself.  Yes, He is one alone God in the singular sense and not plural sense, dismissing a multi headed God or God of multi personalities myth.  Moreover, cancelling out a packaged three person God within a triangular system.  Or proving Three divine people existing harmoniously and eternally as circles within circles, as a mere fable.  Or nullifying the new age 'eternal all encompassing circle of life', made up of a spectrum of three different radiating personalities ...  plain bull!

Ps. 148:13.  "Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven."

One name for one person alone.  One name for one God alone.  The one and the same person ...  God!  How about Is. 2:11 (& see 2:17)?:

"The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day."

One LORD, one GOD, and one NAME for the one and same God alone ...  who is exalted alone.  Not in triune fashion, but as a stand alone God and Lord.

Here is more irrefutably proof that there is no other God or person in the Godhead or anywhere, than God alone and God Himself, reiterating "there is none beside thee"!:

1 Sam. 2:2.  "There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God."

Yes, "Holy, holy, holy" is only reiterating and reinforcing three times who God is and not who "they" are ...  "Lord God Almighty, which was (1), and is (2), and is to come (3)"!  Sounds like God constantly, consistently and continually in the singular context here (1 - past, 2 - present, and 3 - future), and once again as a stand alone God!  Moreover ...  as our one fortress, one rock, one refuge, and one strong tower!

Is. 45:6.  "That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me (singular). I (singular) am the LORD, and there is none else."

Why does scripture keep reiterating, reinforcing and witnessing to the fact that there is only one God, as one person, who stands alone and by Himself (singular)?

Is. 45:21.  "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I (singular) the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."

Has the point been made clear?  Furthermore, does this point come from a catechism, an article of faith, or some DVD a popular tele-evangelist has happened to ripped you off with?  Or what some past scribe has conjured up?  Not in your life!  However, it does come straight from the written word of God.  If God is not meaning what He says, or His clear points are meant to be bent in order to mean something else, then God is not a straight shooter is He?  No, He would be a mystic God who plays with words and means something more than what He says; like something abstract or esoteric in the hidden realms, past the plain clear speech the word of God gives testament to.

To the contrary, if the word alone in regards to God, is being constantly expressed from scripture, would the word not be there to counter other false claims?  These other claims being in the sense of reinventing God, so He can be divided into three separate people, with three separate functions and manifestations, but different persons nevertheless, acting in accordance with each other, as coequal and co-eternal beings.

Furthermore, I'm sure the fact the Lord makes a big thing and places much emphasis (with constant reminders that He is indeed standing by Himself as the alone one God, stating there is none other besides Him) is for a good and practical, and purposeful reason.  I can't see any other reason He keeps making these points and not swaying from them, counteracting the temptation that is constantly there with man, assisted through spiritual enforcement, deceit, confusion and the general influence of Satan, God's enemy, in order to distort and interfere with God's divinity and Christ's uniqueness.  Here it is from 1 John 3:16, confirming the one true God we serve and worship:

"Hereby perceive we the love of God: because he laid down his life for us."

Man's spin on the Godhead

For the Nominalist/Trinitarian concept of God, and how he really should quote and change God's biblical status (where God emphatically, specifically and clearly says there is NO God beside him), and where he should complete the verses as add-ons (in paraphrase form to suit his stance), lets revisit Isaiah 45:5 (& 6) and see how the Nominalist/Trinitarian should really rewrite these verses, if he indeed has a valid case.  Here it is ...  this should be the corrected Nominalist/Trinitarianist rendition of scripture, or something along these lines:

"I am the LORD, and there is someone else, there is another who is God beside me" ...  "This is my eternal coequal companion (or my eternal coequal companions) in the Godhead (see fig. right) called God the Son (and God the Holy Spirit)."

Not to forget Isaiah 45:21 (and many more of course) ...  "have not I the LORD? and there is another who is God beside me; as a just God and a Saviour; there is another beside me" ... "This is my eternal coequal companion (or my eternal coequal companions) in the Godhead (see fig. right) called God the Son (and God the Holy Spirit)."

Furthermore, shouldn't Deuteronomy 6:4 or its NT equivalent Mark 12:29, be corrected and changed to:

"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is Three!"

Actually, me thinks a Trinitarian bible will never be written or at least be made official (could be wrong though) as it would blow its Babylonian cover or make the subtlety of its teaching too obvious.  Best to leave it more like it is (while each new bible version becomes more watered down overtime, anyway) and leave it open-ended.  However, to make my point clear, here'za common statement in regards to the Holy Trinity doctrine more in its structured, liturgic form:

"I confess that there is only one triune God, eternally co-existent in three distinct persons.  Each person in the Trinity is equal with the other; yet, each manifests a particular ministry and function: God the Father who is our Creator; God the Son who is our Redeemer (Saviour); and God the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter and Helper."

Oh yeah!  Is that so?  Is this the full story my friend?  Whattabout ...  "each (person - my addition) manifests a particular ministry and function"?  This person or creed is actually stating God (as one, in a system misdiagnosed as the Godhead) are three distinct persons (people, personalities, characters, natures, entities, beings, members).  Within this "divine" system made of three distinct people equalling God as one, this person or creed also states each person's function makes them distinct separate people, emphatically laying down their eternal functions.  Yip, God is restricted to the person/persons and status man has made for Him.  Remember, appropriately, Acts 17:29 …  "man's device"!  Is it anything else?

Looking at it from another angle (or should I say from a tri-angle), please look closely!  Is this not placing God in a box or a triangle?  Let's compare the two lots of "three" examples and see for ourselves.  Understanding, Trinitarians can never look at the overall big picture but only at a wee distorted portion.  Bearing in mind also, this following Tradition statement is exactly (and taken from) the above just mentioned statement/creed where "each (person) manifests a particular ministry and function":

Tradition
compartmentalizing God and biblically restricting Him and not looking at the big picture ...

  1. God the Father - who is our Creator
  2. God the Son - who is our Redeemer and Saviour
  3. God the Holy Spirit - who is our Comforter and Helper

There, nicely slotted into an analytical, uniform 'triune system', misnaming or misrepresenting the biblical Godhead; even though we can only place a (restricted) tick beside point 1. as being biblically correct, as point 2 & 3 are not.  Explanation ...  there is no line 'God the Son' or 'God the Holy Spirit' found anywhere in the Bible.

However, although each second statement in each point is true, does scripture compartmentalize God neatly and clinically into three distinct separate people like this?  According to tradition ...  Yes!  However, not according to scripture or the manifold wisdom of God.  Here is what scripture says in relation to Jesus, who Trinitarians and some Religionists call the eternal Son, contradicting the above statement or throwing it outta kilter.  Or at least confining Jesus to just Sonship status:

Scripture
revealing God more in His fulness and looking at the overall picture (going beyond the Trinity doctrine) ...

    1. Jesus - who is our Creator (John 1:10, Eph. 2:10, Col. 1:16, )
    2. The Father - who is our Redeemer and Saviour (1 Tim. 1:1; 4:10, Titus 2:10)
    3. Jesus or the Father - who is our Comforter and Helper (Ps. 54:4, John 14:18, Heb 13:6)
There, now doesn't the above example throw more light on the subject and give you a better understanding of our manifold God?  It should, if scripture can be fully trusted!

Conclusion ... the Trinity is very commodious! It is open-ended enough to accommodate its Babylonian origin, connection, function and objective; while trying to disconnect or disassociate itself from this link by such 'damage control' statements as this follwing common quote ...  "always three separate persons but never say three separate Gods!"  While on the other hand, it is structured enough to restrict the fulness of God and tie up or subtlety bring into question God's manhood as the Son or Jesus' deity.

The eternal Jesus - scripturally restricted by His manhood but omniscience in His divinity:

In this series we have covered the importance, biblical concept and practice of a threefold witness; being the relationship with God as man in conjunction with Him being in dependence of Himself in and through the Spirit.  This dependence is the eternal God called the Father, as well as the eternal existence of Jesus the Word, becoming flesh in the NT and revealed as the Angel of the Lord in the OT prior, who both Abraham in the OT and Hebrews in the NT refer to as Melchisedec.

Expounding more on Melchisedec and looking at him in more depth ("Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered" - Heb. 5:11), it is important that we grasp the concept and meaning of this man who plays a far greater role of importance than many who have shrugged him off and just put him down to an OT priest as in 'type only' to Jesus.  All the while ignoring him or brushing him off as being Jesus.  Also, misinterpreting 'the type' or 'shadow' aspect explained in the book of Hebrews, of him being a forerunner of the coming new covenant.  Because if this man was just merely a man and not the Lord coming in angelic form, then his purpose and the fact of his existence, is actually an indictment against the claim of Jesus being the eternal Son.  Moreover, dispelling the claim of Him being just one of the three persons dwelling in the Godhead and therefore cancelling out the Holy Trinity doctrine altogether.

Three Angels

Here they are ... Michael the warrior, Gabriel the messenger, and Melchisedec the priest, if you want an appropriate subheading!

Okay, you also want more than just my statement or theory?  Not a problem, as the only way we can give evidence to who Melchisedec really was is to rightly divide the word of truth and get it entirely from scripture.  Remember, the three blokes who visited Abraham?  Who many claim was the Trinity leaving heaven's throne and dwelling, then coming down to earth as three distinct and separate men!  Who many will not accept that these three blokes were Jesus plus two other angels.  Would God abandon the Godhead like this anyway, and leave it empty and unattended (maybe the angels filled in)?  Especially with their "God the Spirit" coming in the form of a man also!

Well, isn't it uncanny how out of the whole Bible and the multitudes of angels ever existing, only four angels are ever named from Genesis to Revelation?  Who are they?  Here are their names ...  Michael, Gabriel, Melchisedec and Lucifer!  Moreover (as something else to think about), did Melchisedec replace Lucifer as the ministering angel (functioning in priestly fashion) when Lucifer fell through puffing himself up as seeing himself "as the greatest above all"?  Melchisedec was certainly the prince of princes as well as being the king of God's city Salem, and functioning as a priest between Him and man.

In order to have a Trinity you have to have three, eternal and coequal divine persons!  Right?  It is quite obvious that Lucifer does not make the grade here as he was kicked out of heaven and is now a disembodied spirit (devil) keeping not his first estate, but leaving his own habitation for the lower world, and is now chief of all the fallen angels who followed him (not just a devil either, like his other cohorts, but the Devil, their chief cohort).

Now with Lucifer outside the equation, and due to the process of elimination, we are only left with the three other named angels in scripture called Melchisedec, Michael and Gabriel.  Do these three qualify to be the Trinity?  Not in your life!  Even though we have three unfallen men here (outside sinful flesh and what is born of a woman, and where two of them are called princes), two of them do not constitute to being called God either.  Remember, in the Trinity all three have to constitute to being called God.  Or, all three together are God while each one is still called God individually, somehow.  Michael and Gabriel do not constitute to be called God as they are only angels.  Yes, important and chief angels of course, but just angels nevertheless!  Melchisedec is different however.  Firstly, different in that scripture makes a real point in getting across his importance, speciality and uniqueness more so than any other angel or man:

"Now consider how great this man was"!  Heb. 7:4.

Here we are to consider (right now – in the present tense) and think about how great the man Melchisedec was.  Have you ever thought about that?  Have you ever given Melchisedec much consideration, especially in taking time out to consider who he was and how great he was, as scripture has commanded us to?  The fact is, when the chips are down, no man is great save the Son of man, the Lord Jesus Christ.  This same man who came in angelic form pre cross and pre NT, and as Heb. 5:11 says:

"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered".

Although the denominations and movements have almost ignored this man in many cases, the scriptures don't, but place great importance on him and stress how the early believers had many things to say about him, which were hard to be uttered.  Why were they hard to be uttered?  Please take into account how the OT did not make much about him but more on the Levitical priesthood, which was to be cancelled and surpassed with something better and eternal, in the NT.  Also, please take into account where Melchisedec's perpetual priesthood was taken up again where it first left off, by Jesus "in the days of His flesh", and on forever past His glorification.  Surely, this is truly something to consider and not look past!

Secondly, in regards to His function as a priest, an eternal priest in fact, and as a high priest, this is where scripture points out the similitude to Jesus as OUR high priest.  Meaning, Melchisedec makes full representation before God for His people whereas Michael and Gabriel only make partial representation.  Bearing in mind Michael is only one of the chief princes and not the highest prince.  Whereas Jesus (Melchisedec) is the Prince of princes.

"Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia."

Okay, repeating again ...  Michael is only "one of the chief princes" whereas Jesus (Dan. 8:25) is "the Prince of princes", "The Prince of Peace" plus "the King of peace" ("Salem"), and the "King of righteousness", making Melchisedec higher than Michael.

Yes, that's three chief angels but nothing to do with mysticism or the occult.  Nor the new age movement for that matter (unlike the symbol to the left).  But everything to do with truth and revelation; and of course what is written and recorded in the Holy Bible, as a matter of fact.

On the other hand, Gabriel is also of importance in the angelic leadership realm, as he appears to be gifted or designated to the heavenly domestic side of things (you'll see whatta mean later).  Now let's break down each individual upright named angel and get it all scripturally:

 Michael (the warrior)

Okay, still not convinced about this angel stuff?  Let's take a more in-depth look at Michael, touching on every scripture that mentions him in name.

Dan. 10:21. "But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

No doubt Michael acts for the children of God ...  God's chosen people!  As you are now seeing, he is referred to multi times in scripture by name, given him much importance in the spiritual realm above all the other myriad of angels, all in the favour of God's inheritance ...  His people.

Dan. 12:1. "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

The above verse this time is prophetic of the coming Great Tribulation.  You can see the importance that this angelic prince has in standing for and looking after God's chosen people once again.  Even to the point of the darkest part of all history, which is still prophetic of the soon coming destructive future.

Jude 1:9.  "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee."

We move into the NT now, which is still very clear to Michael's role of importance in the spiritual realm, right through the Bible and into the second testament.  We also discover here that although Michael has great power, authority and responsibility invested by God, he is obviously second in command after Jesus the angel of the Lord.  However, he does not abuse this high position as the Archangel but hands the ultimate say over to the Lord.  Meaning, he is in subjection to God and can never be seen as the same person or on the same level as God, unlike Melchisedec.

Angelic support and guidance from the so-called "hidden books"

Forget about any angel or named angel outside God's book the Holy Bible.  An apostle called Paul has got some very heavy stuff to say in regards to those who would follow an angel outside the scriptural gospel or scriptural context as found in Galatians 1:8.  In other words, it is dangerous as well as forbidden to follow a doctrine of an angel:

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

2 Corinthians 11:14 makes it very clear why:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself (as also his emissaries – verse 15) is transformed into an angel of light."

Any doctrine from an angel is to be avoided.  As with any new cult, you will find the cult will be based on a misleading spirit, influencing a cult would-be figurehead with heretical leanings to suit his cause and deceive his would-be disciples into following him instead of Jesus direct.  This is the reason these blokes (and blokesses), as well as other religious professionals and spiritual mentors, will quote non-canonical books and extra biblical commentaries as authority on par with, or supplementing scripture, just as the mainline denominations quote the Reformers or their church fathers, or their dear Pastor as authoritative, and so on.

Furthermore, the thought that Jude borrows from non canonical books such as "the book of the Assumption of Moses" and "the book of Enoch" to manipulate as authoritative can never be proved.  This makes this type of thinking and assumption into fables, as it can't be backed from scripture.  Scripture never uses non canonical works (extra biblical commentary) to back itself.  It always uses scripture to back scripture.  Scripture always backs itself, in other words!  If Jude was making reference to other non canonical books then he would have been consistent with the rest of scripture and mentioned and named them as books.  However, he didn't make any such reference or connection.  They are not books at all, but quotes!  It is only wrong interpretation from man that assumes Jude or others is quoting from non canonical books.

Following is some examples using non canonical books (the - real - lost books) recorded in scripture.  Meaning, although these books are mentioned and made reference to as books, they still cannot hold final authority in doctrine and faith due to them not being included as books in the Bible, even though they may have been referenced at, or known at the time before the completion of the OT as well as the NT.  These similar cases are just like some of the Greek heathen poets being used by Paul as reference in Acts 17:28.  However, these heathen poets could never be used as final authority today.  Here are some similar cases from the OT where these books are mentioned but are not books included in the canon of scripture.  Meaning, they cannot be dug up at a later date like today, as biblically valid books and used on a par with scripture as ultimate authority:

Joshua 10:13.  "Is not this written in the book of Jasher?"

1 Kings 11:41 "And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?”

1 Ch. 29:29. "Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer".

2 Ch.9:29.  "Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?"

Therefore, "the book of the Assumption of Moses" and "the book of Enoch" (as the Apocrypha and all the so-called other "lost books" or additional books never mentioned in scripture) have NO such AUTHORITY!  Dispelling other theories such as "the angels being sons of God" theory, as coming into the daughters of men (both sexually and procreation wise) as pure fallacy!!  However, that is another story, for another time, as mans continued way of distorting scripture and relying on other (hidden and unbiblical) books to prove his unfounded theories.

Comparing the two orders (covenants) - Aaron in contrast to
Melchisedec

Interestedly, regarding Moses ...  his body was to be hid in a secret place.  This eliminated the chances of Moses being found.  Moses wasn't to have a shrine and be an object of worship in other words.  Satan opposed his body being hid before it happened (guess why?) and Michael (the next angel in charge after the Lord) was the one who dealt with it.  In contrast to Moses, Jesus' body was not to be hidden but made an open (public) spectacle for all to see, by Him being forced through the city's streets and jeering crowds, to carry the old rugged heavy pole.  Thereafter, being suspended in the air and being fastened to this splintery wooded trunk, in open display.  Followed by His body being relocated to a known place, whereby later providing proof of His resurrection.  After which, He appears again in public, to hundreds before His ascension.

Satan (acting through Peter this time) did not like this idea either in reversal to Moses body being hid, and opposed the idea before it happened (again, guess why?).  In the wisdom of God, Jesus buried Moses' body Himself.  Because no man had access to Moses' body or knew where it was hidden, this way no one could spill the beans, allowing public access and the veneration of a man instead of God.  Also, resurrecting Moses as a cult leader (representing the law) in the latter times, cancelling out Jesus (representing grace and truth).

Oh, then this whole scenario appeared again in the NT (no mention of Michael this time) when Moses, as well as Elias, appeared with Jesus at the transfiguration, where whom once again impetuous Peter (no doubt with Satan behind Peter for another crack at Jesus) wanted to enshrine them both, placing them on equal footing to Jesus, where we would have ended up with an earlier or pre-empt version of the Trinity (three "divine" persons).  No doubt this subtle push to introduce the Trinity was put on-hold for a later date, when the coming impostor church would redefine the pagan Trinity and give both itself and its practices, a religious facelift, by christianizing them.

The conclusion here is that Moses is dead, representing the law and the Levitical priesthood ("the order of Aaron").  Meaning, it is over and out, and gone forever.  Understanding, this order/covenant was only in place at a certain time anyway, serving only as a type and shadow, until the reality of it fulfilled its temporary need, while cancelling it out at the same time (disannulling is the scriptural term).  This was Christ coming as the eternal replacement and fulfilment.  Man will always do his best to bring back the old in some form, by resurrecting Moses in some form, and replacing the true Christ as the man and only mediator between God and man.  This is opposed to ...  "after the order of Melchisedec" and as a continuation of this priestly function, taken up where it last left off, in the OT.

Heb. 7:15-17:  "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.  For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec (this phrase mentioned seven times throughout scripture, as a matter of fact)."

The next two verses (18 - 19) sums it up really:

"For there is verily a disannulling (making it brought to nought, being made redundant, dead in the water) of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.  For the law made nothing perfect (it could never save), but the bringing in of a better hope did (the new covenant); by the which we draw nigh unto God."

Therefore, we are dealing with two orders here ...  "the order of Aaron (represented by Moses, the law - the old cuv)" and "the order of Melchisedec (represented by Christ, "after the power of an endless life" - the new cuv)".  Be reminded again that Moses (as a fading glory - veiled) died and his body was forgotten.  Whereas, on the other hand, Jesus (as a lasting glory - unveiled) died (tasting death for every man) then over came death for every man.

Why does it say "after the similitude of Melchisedec" as well as "after the order of Melchisedec" if these two men are the same person?  Because as Melchisedec in the OT, this was an angelic man and as Jesus in the NT this was a flesh and blood man!  Melchisedec, the eternal high priest, did not have parents whereas Jesus, "the (adopted - John 6:42) son of Joseph" did!  "The similitude" and "after the order" makes every bit of sense when you consider the 'angelic' and 'flesh and blood' are not the same.  Although we are dealing with the same person and the very reason it says in regards to the Son, "Who in the days of his flesh" (Heb. 5:7-10).  This was in effect, prophesying a day when the angelic man would become a flesh and blood man, and dwell among us as the Saviour of the world.  Confirmed by further written proof found here (Heb 2:16):

"For verily he took not on him the nature of angels (while becoming the Son); but he took on him the seed of Abraham (made of the righteous flesh and blood line)."

Therefore, it makes full since that the LORD appears as the angel of the Lord (independent of human parenting) as the high eternal priest Melchisedec, outside the order of Aaron in the OT.  Then again as the Son (the Word becoming flesh) after the Lord is begotten from on high, as the eternal high priest Jesus, also outside the order of Aaron this time in the NT.

Meanwhile, back to Michael

Moving on and in regards to Michael ...  1 Thes. 4:16-17:

"For the Lord himself (Jesus) shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (Michael), and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Because Michael is known as the archangel (Jude 1:9) it can only be concluded that he is the chief angel making Gabriel a rank below him.  When Jesus comes back during the great translation of the saints, it is the archangel (Michael) who makes the great announcement from heaven, being the more prominent and greater leader of the two in rank, as well as being in charge of the angelic hosts (the armies of heaven).  Proof:

Rev. 12:7.  "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

The above passage destroys so many misconceptions in just three verses.  We can see clearly here who the dragon is ...  the serpent who was in the Garden in Genesis, as well as the Devil who is also called Satan (the reason the dragon and the serpent are so prevalent in mysticism and the occult)!  Moreover, we can see that the Devil has angels under him (devils in this case - as he is the Devil) just as Michael has angels under him (the host of heaven).  We also see that these angels of heaven are in collision course and in conflict with the fallen angles, who are beaten in battle and cast out of heaven.  Also, that these fallen angels are the deceiving spirits that deceive the WHOLE WORLD.  And Michael is in charge in this victory.  Although, as we have seen he is not equal to, nor is he God, but under God as a chief angel, an archangel (or the archangel) and great prince (or the great prince).  Furthermore, he is still not as great as Melchisedec, the high priest forever and Prince of princes!  Also known as the King of righteousness, of peace, and of Salem (God's capital).

Gabriel (the messenger)

At this point in time, reiterating again, we can see clearly from scripture only three named angels throughout the entire Bible (apart from the fallen Lucifer - this name omitted from most modern versions for a reason - but not the counterfeit version as fig. to the right, making it an effective counterfeit).  Also, we have looked in-depth at all the scriptural named verses on Michael.  Therefore, let us now look at all the scriptural named verses on the second chief angel Gabriel (two in the OT balanced with two in the NT), backing his importance to a similar scale of the other two named angels also:

Dan. 8:16.  "And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision."

From the above verse we can see the important role Gabriel plays in conveying revelation and spiritual insight from God and being a messenger from and for Him, adding benefit to the believer ...  God's chosen.  However, even though reference is made about Michael being a chief angel (the archangel in fact) there is no direct reference to Gabriel being any of the two.  Although due to his key role in scripture, along side the other two named angels, Gabriel plays an important role (or chief role if you like), giving credence to him being referred to (off  record) as a chief or ranked an important angel.  Butler would probably be a more accurate description as opposed to Michael being a soldier.

Dan. 9:21-23.  "Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.  At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision."

Therefore, angels (in particular Gabriel, a chief angel or a named angel with a chief role to carry out) can minister to God's people aiding their prayers and aiding them in insight, wisdom and understanding.

Luke 1:19.  "And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings."

This angelic aiding process is just as relevant to the saints in the NT and today.  Showing glad tidings ...  from where?  From being in the presence of the Lord.  Look at this following verse:

Is. 63:9.  "In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old."

This angel has real authority and can execute very great things while ministering to the saints:

Luke 1:26-28.  "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."

Yes, a specific angel, for a specific cause, for a specific time, coming to a specific woman, who was to give birth to the specific incarnate Son of God ..  named specifically JESUS!  In addition, seeing Gabriel as the only named angel in the entire Bible after Michael the warrior/prince, Melchisedec the priest/prince, and Lucifer the fallen prince.  Also giving us a great insight into who our enemy Lucifer is, now named as Beelzebub the prince of the devils (1), the prince of this world (2), and the prince of the power of the air (3).  Who is now a disembodied wicked fallen angel, coming as an unseen spirit to control and possess anyone with a living yielded body and soul.

Reiterating again ...  Gabriel, the named angel in scripture, the angel playing an all time important role in the angelic realm, for all time, affecting every person on earth and heaven for that matter.  However, definitely not a third member of the so-called Triune Godhead, nor one of the supposed persons/men of the Trinity coming to Abraham in Genesis.

Now let's have another more comprehensive look at this third named angel in the Bible called Melchisedec.

Melchisedec (the priest)

Being reminded again about having "many (more) things to say" about Melchisedec!  Melchisedec that is!!  Yes, here is more on Melchisedec!  Yes, Melchisedec, "Of whom we have many things to say"!  The one who is now the risen Jesus after His manifestation in the flesh, who is in complete charge in heaven (more on this later) ...  pre cross as the king of Salem and post cross as the King of new Jeru Salem, being the glorified King of kings (Heb. 5:11):

"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered".

Okay, you are still not convinced that Melchisedec is Jesus in angelic form, coming as the Angel of the Lord.  If he is not, then pray tell me who is this "(high) priest for ever", "the priest of the most high God", "king of Salem, king of peace"?  Oh, and that's "Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life"!  And "abideth a priest continually"!  Yes, things "hard to be uttered" all right!  Who is he?

If he had of been just a flesh and blood man prior to Jesus' appearance as the baby Jesus, then he too would've had to be born of a woman and conceived by a father, plus having a set day of birth.  What's more, if he was just another angel, then how can He qualify to be the high priest forever?  Furthermore, how could Jesus be 'in type only' as an angel, when scripture is clear about Him coming in the flesh after the OT era and now being higher (above) the angels in His glorified state?

Reiterating again, if Melchisedec was just a man, then how can you get around him being "without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life", and "Without father, without mother"?  Does this sound like a flesh and blood man to you, who was never apparently connected to a flesh and blood Dad and Mum?  Just can't happen!  Not biblically, physically or historically!  Sounds like there is indeed many things to say about this chap, and even hard to be uttered!  Furthermore ...  Heb. 7:4:

"Now consider how great this man was"!

First thing to consider about this bloke ...  "he was the priest of the most high God."  A priest and mediator direct, between God and man that is!  What's more, six times it says in the NT, "after the order of Melchisedec".  Plus one time "after the similitude of Melchisedec".  Expounding more, it actually says, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek" or "an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec"!

Remembering, there was only one high priest according to this biblical similitude as well as one Jesus.  It's true ...  "If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?"

Yes indeed, the law couldn't make anyone right before God and the Levitical priesthood was only a temporary shadow (type of) until the real thing came, which was better, perfect and everlasting.  Aka ...  the new covenant in Christ, after the order of Melchisedec, where we now have an eternal high priest representing us before God and God before His people; eternally ...  perpetually!  It took off where it last left off, in other words!  It left off with Melchisedec (Jesus) in the OT and took off again with the Son (Jesus - when His name was made known) after the Levitical priesthood was no longer necessary.  Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets totally, to a Tee and to perfection!  Want the fulfilment?  Then behold the man!

Not only is there many things to observe, consider and ponder about this chap Melchisedec, but there is much to consider about how great he was.  F'instance, when the children of Israel came out of Egypt this angel was with them right through the wilderness as the Rock who followed them.  Isn't this again a hard thing to be uttered, even written?  Okay, you would like me again to substantiate this and supply the references?  Here's an answer for a start ...  this Rock (starting with a capital letter) could speak, according to Sam. 23:3 (ever heard a rock speak?).

"The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God."

Talk about eating honey out of the rock and the bread and wine we spiritually partake off in the New Cuv by following Jesus!  Not to forget to mention the Lord's table!  Who's that Rock they ate and drank from (the children of Israel that is)?  The answer could not be any clearer, could it?  Read further as 1 Cor. 10:1-4:

"Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers (the children of Israel) were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ."

Repeating again ...  "and that Rock was Christ"!  More on the Rock later.

The left hand and the right hand ministries (Pr. 3:13-18) - warriors and butlers!

Under this angel (the angel of the Lord - the rock that was Christ) there is Michael in charge of keeping the forces of darkness in check, as well as keeping their dark prince (the Devil) at bay up until the day he is bound, as well as protecting and shielding the saints.  Then we have Gabriel who is designated with the communication side of the spiritual realm (a messenger and spokesman for God) while encouraging and uplifting the saints, as well as giving guidance and spiritual assistance.

In other words, one chief department in heaven is being seen as assertive while the other supportive.  A bit like the Mary and Martha principle in scripture, who have been made an episode by the system by the way.  Who are to the contrary both necessary (like a left arm and right arm) despite and in contrast to what has been taught over the years through the IC.  Basically, what has been pushed in the evangelical wing of Christendom has been the put down of being 'a Mary' in one hand, and the endorsement of being 'a Martha' (a listener) in the other hand, molly cuddling the "itching ears" department and aiding the IC much.  Moreover, with its own form of clergy and laity, as platform and audience, or entertainers and spectators.

Here's the two NT functions in similarity as 1 Pet. 4:11:

"If any man speak (that's the more studious type - 'a Martha'), let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister (in contrast - that's the more practical type - 'a Mary'), let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ".

Here we see the difference between eldership (bishop) and deacon.  One calling being found more on the forefront while the other being found as a supporting role, attending to the more domestic things within the Body, than the more visual and vocal.  To get more clarity on these two legitimate dispositional roles for the saints in general, let's look at the following passage from Romans 12:6-8 and discern between the more prominent giftings, to the more contrasting obscure giftings, but just as vital and important nevertheless:

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith (call of prominence); Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering (call of obscurity - nothing to do with leadership but servantry): or he that teacheth, on teaching (call of prominence - as in leadership and shepherding); Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation (call of prominence): he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity (call of obscurity - not allowing the right hand to know what the left hand is doing); he that ruleth, with diligence (call of prominence); he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness (call of obscurity - acting behind the scenes)."

Two types of people being revealed here, for two types of reasons and two types of functions in calling and ministering.  Hence, the place of guardianship in the NT (as just mentioned) with both elders and deacons found complimenting each other, overseeing the Body of Christ on earth.  That's one handling the word and spiritual affairs, while the other handling tables and the domestic side of things.  Both are necessary as mentioned, and are just as important as the other (ever see a bird try and fly on one wing?).  Although one ministry looks more prominent and visual than the other, the other function is found to be more low key, if you get the gist, yet just as significant.  However, the end result is the glorification of God through Christ anyway.

Likewise, the angelic realm appears to work in a similar way, and is the reason for the dual functions of the two chief angels under the head angel Jesus (the Angel of the Lord); no doubt remaining in line with a divine principle found throughout scripture.

The angels designations are as follows ...  guardians (protectors, deterrents and rescuers) and messengers (providers and guides).  This is where one's function is executing the role as soldier/terminator (God's divine strike force and deterrence factor), while the other as a ministering servant (butler), directly from God Himself to God's children (as encouragers and uplifters).

During the days of His flesh, when Jesus came to earth as a born man, angels ministered to Him also, as Jesus was made lower than the angels at this stage.  However, in contrast to this, when Jesus visited Abraham with the other two angles, He appears in the sense and on the same level, as the most prominent and superior leader of the three.  Moreover, after the resurrection and in His glorification, He is now placed above the angels (Eph 1:21).

As far as the title "guardian angel" is concerned, this title is not found in the word.  Although one of their roles is to guard and protect the saints.  Angels are always masculine too (called men) because the man comes before the woman in creation and order, and the woman comes from man, just as the man comes from God.  The only time angels are mentioned in carrying the women image in the word is when the word is referring to two fallen angels of Babylon (Zec. 5: 5-11).  Therefore, angels who appear as beautiful women or come as delicate fragile creatures of femininity, are deceiving spirits disguised and transformed as light, to lure, entice and entrap.

Sorry to pop your bubble but Muriel and Raphael (found in the Apocrypha) are false angels and are just as suspect as any other angel only found outside of scripture.  That's right, these two angels are not found in the word, just as the angel Moroni is not!  Again, 'extra biblical commentary' is the correct phrase to use here.  Merely because, these angels can appear as light and righteous servants of the Most High.  However, they are no way credible; just clever and cunning at masquerading as servants coming from the one and living God.  Especially to men with great leadership potential or charisma, in order to satanically tickle their ego and hijack their giftings.  This way they can divert the would-be 'man of God's calling' by channelling them and their abilities into the crusade of delusion, thus aiding (not exposing) Satan's lost cause.

The greater the gifting of the person with leadership potential, the greater the person can be used in influencing others and deceiving them, once the Devil has made a cunning foothold in the person's life.  This is the reason it is dangerous to be overly keen in taking the high ground over others, in teaching and instructing them, and the reason to whom much is given, much is is required.  The object of the exercise is to tempt and lure them in with the assurance of fame, platform and fortune, while massaging their pride at the same time.  Very similar to what happened to Jesus when He was tempted by the Devil in the wilderness, with the promise of great things if he was prepared to succumb.  As Jesus (the perfect spotless lamb of God) did not yield to a false angelic visitation or a beautified hidden spiritual attack for one moment, neither should we.  Lesson ...  discernment is far more important than biting at the bit to be a leader.  Moreover, discernment of spirits is essential in order to progress in our pilgrimage in these real life situations.

Ravaging wolves and placid pigeons (the left hand and right hand counterfeit - or the "spiritual" Mutt and Jeff approach)

As already touched on, behind every cult (and denomination) there is a fallen angel (a chief deceiving spirit in other words - the strongman).  That's the thing a person gives themselves over to when they allow themselves to be enticed by the outward attraction and cultivated security of a false cult.  Or the false personality behind or heading the cult.  The same principle applies with denominations and movements.  This is to do with their phoney headships set up to dictate, whether aggressively or gentlemanly, and contrary to scripture (2 Cor. 1:24), who take advantage of peoples vulnerabilities or dominion over peoples faith.  This control, as well as the control freak himself, needs refusing in Jesus name!  Coz once an individual is drawn further into its net (its teachings and lifestyle), the thing needs to be renounced with full regret and humility before God and man, in order for one to get totally free from the strongman (the chief deceiving spirit) through Christ.  This also places the man Christ Jesus back in His proper place, as the one and only mediator between God and man, making a guru figurehead fully redundant and powerless over others.

Get this ...  no man has any right to have dominion over anyone's faith!  This means YOU!!!  Yes, your faith, Mr or Mrs dear saintly Bible believer!!  If there are the gullible out there, they (the wolves dressed up as sheep and the pigeons mistaken for doves) will manipulate 'em!  Beware of strong personalities who claims special giftings.  Especially those who believe they have been called to correct or rebuke others.  Or to be set up over you as a watchman or guardian (yuk!!).  Or those who peddle their religious ware, irrespective of whether it comes in the form of selling their "anointing", "the truth", or promoting their own "biblically" centred ministry.  They may appear credible, plausible and sincere.  However, they still have no scruples when it comes to exploiting and making merchandise of YOU!  Do they?  Simply because their whole "ministry" is at stake at the end of the day.  It is either naive YOU or "warm and caring" THEM, when the chips are down.  Their success comes in giving themselves over to "justified" covetousness and enjoying a comfortable lifestyle, at the expense of well meaning, nice and compliant religious suckers, who could be anyone just like YOU or ME!  Thatz the ones who are smart enough to belittle the word of God, by pretending it is only just a guideline or some sort of reference point to our Christian walk!  Where they know best.  Coz they are qualified and trained experts, and have earned the all important titles before their name.

You can't be deceived though, cos you love the Lord and put Him first, is what they say?  If you believe this notion then you have already taken the very first step and it would be correct in saying you are already deceived!  Coz this is the first wee wedged gap in the door allowing the strongman to get his foot in ...  "sincere Christians can't be deceived!!  Yeah?  This is not what the word says!

Remember, they, whether wolf or pigeon (cunning wolves eat you while cute pigeons poop on you) are not the ones responsible for giving an account of YOUR life at the end time, but only YOU, yourself!  If they aren't really true blue Bible believers, then they have nothing to worry about coz their god (or Trinity) is only a figment of their human imagination.  On the other hand, if God is not an intellectual fabrication after all, but insists He is who He says He is (the one true God), then they have everything to be worried about.  This of course goes for every religionist or those who name the name of Christ, but do not do as He says.  As for you and your house ...  what will you do or have to say when the real time comes?  An elder will have to give an account of what he did with the young and vulnerable (Heb. 13:17) and his judgement will be far greater than the average Joe Bloggs (Luke 20:47 & James 3:1).  Best to be an average Joe Bloggs and humbly do as the Lord says than be a hotshot for "Gawd"!  Wouldn't you agree?

Additionally (and with the pendulum swinging to the other extreme), beware also of any image of Mary or a feminine Jesus (and that goes with being handed or landed with a "spiritual" mum/mom). Goddesses are not of God!  The only queen in scripture (outside the flesh and blood wife of a flesh and blood king) is found in the heavenly context, who is the exalted bride of Christ in the prophetic future sense.  There is no Queen of Heaven to behold and pay homage to outside the inventions of men!  Can you now see how the Trinity taken to extreme (as it is open ended and therefore easy to make room for error) will accommodate the Holy Spirit being the feminine side of God and therefore ad credence or open the door to a Queen of Heaven or a Perpetual Marian Virgin?  Or some other mystical goddess?  Even in its milder form, it will accommodate an effeminate gospel with no saving power.  What's more, it will also accommodate an alter offering up spiritually aborted souls.  Or a circle of religiously spoiled brats.  The fruit of this nonsense being this (Is. 3:12) ...

"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them (reversing and placing the role of women at the top). O my people, they which lead thee (religious leaders and spiritual mentors) cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths (the living scriptures)."

Every faith or belief which veers into effeminacy as regards to who the Godhead is, corrupts the truth of God's word as well as perverts the one true God Almighty who records in His word (Ex. 15:2) testimony and back-up to who He is:

"The LORD is my strength and song, and he (not them or her) is become my salvation: he (not them or her) is my God, and I will prepare him (not them or her) an habitation; my father's (not them or her) God, and I will exalt him (not them or her)."

Rightly interpreting 'the three'

If you have been around evangelical circles for some time, I'm sure you would've heard of the proverbial "threefold ministry" of Jesus as Prophet, Priest and King (all masculine roles by the way).  Especially if you come from a Pentecostal background.  Yes, and it is scriptural and necessary revelation for the saints of God of course.  Too bad the Godhead has not been approached like this ...  as "the threefold witness" of God instead of the three headed/person stuff!  But then this would isolate a huge hunk of Christendom, where Penties and the like would be ostracized as being too cultist and dissenting.  Or not ecumenical and luv'n enough.  Or accused of being "insensitive to the moving of the Spirit".  Or "bringing a false report to the troops", and all that guff!

Yes and Christendom has a very flexible wing to its existence where it accommodates change and trend.  It also presents the 'other Jesus' (the effeminate Jesus who is positioned between the other two persons in the Trinity) who can be portrayed as "relevant" to the new age and what's seen as kool and contemporary today.  Moreover, making Christianity into a kool and contemporary tool to captivate and enhance the youth and invigorate the churches; as anyone's cup of tea ...  "I want summa that!"  With all of its corporate imagery and snazzy music and mega structures, doesn't this sound very close to Ezk. 33:32 (as a NT version)?:

"And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song (of such heavenly anointing!!!) of one that hath a pleasant voice (so angelic, sooothing and refreeeshing!!!), and can play well on an instrument (the reason for the gigantic push on slick or upbeat music in the churches and "praise and worship" pump ups): for they hear thy words (they luv it ...  dynamic presentations and eloquent orators!!!), but (bottom line - here it comes) they do them not."

Yes, a lovely picture of the contemporary institutionalized church today, that is full of 'listeners only' who love having their ears tickled by sweet pleasantries and warm fuzzies.  Who love being entertained by the word but avoid being changed by it.  Who emulate a form of godliness but deny the power thereof.  Who confuse professionalism and slickness with the will of God.  Moreso, who never want to be cut off their pews by the double edged sword of God's word, which is also a fire and a hammer that will eventually burn away as dross, smash anything of clay, and everything that is of man and not born of God.  Yes, it wants a commodifiable 'god' (the new age Trinity) and a 'packaged gospel', full of kool soundz, wonderful imagery and gadgetry, and snazzy culture.  That's the gospel which centres on building "positive" self-esteem, making you materialistically successful, and promotes the self-man; replacing Christ and Him crucified for an in vogue god.

As thick as brick (as opposed to as solid as the rock)

As flippant as you may feel it is, take a peep at the lego imagery to the right!  Do you not see three distinct chaps, with three distinct faces and heads, as in much of the more serious traditional art and images of Christendom?  You could say ...  that's what a commercialized form of Christianity leads to.  Well, this is what the Trinity teaching gives licence to, being nothing less than Christendom's spin on the Godhead.  Funny that, and especially when the word actually says Godhead (as in one head) not godheads (plural) as in eggheads, for that matter.  This cartoon portrayal of the Trinity (a caricature of the one true God if you are true to scripture) reflects a strong consensus throughout Christendom to the apparent three natures or persons of "the Godhead"!

Can you see the young cool stern Son, the very austere aged Father, and the very placid, warm and friendly Holy Spirit?  In marketable package form!  Who said the Trinity is not trendy and only an aged old relic of the traditional (fossilized) church?  No, it is around today, and its around to stay, until religion is made redundant by the world dictator (Antichrist) just prior to the Great Tribulation, when the Satanic Trinity will take over and replace its predecessor, the Holy Trinity ...  as Satan unplugged and unmasked!

To understand this cunning three step process over time, voilà ...  (1) We first have 'the Pagan Trinity' or 'pre Christian Trinity' (designed to lure the heathen world).  Then (2), we have the christianized version, as 'the Holy Trinity' for the now and present (designed to lure the Christian world ...  dum dee dum dum).  And finally (3), where it pops up in the near future showing its true colours as 'the Satanic Trinity' after the Bride's departure (designed to trap everybody left behind).  This is coz during this time it no longer has to camouflage its intentions.

However, by abiding in and remaining in Christ, you will escape this snare and wrath to come.  God's very word promises this.  Therefore dear Believer, can you confidently witness to the fact you sit comfortably "in church" as opposed to ...  can you confidently say you are firmly secure in Christ?  Or from a slightly different angle (perhaps from a tri-angle), does the Trinity reside in your heart as opposed to ...  does Christ reside in your heart?  Therefore dear Reader, what's you angle, line and passion here?  Are you going to be ensnared with the rest of the world (Luke 21:35 & Rev. 12:9)?  Or are you going to see EVERYTHING outside of Christ as a lie and remain anchored to the one and only rock?

Expounding on the Rock of Israel and the Rock of the church

Who is the Rock of Israel?  That's right ...  Jehovah God!  The very God of the OT for the nation of Israel!  The same God as today of course, as always, who changeth not (Deut. 32:4):

"He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He."

Sounds like our Lord, the ONE true God, is the only ONE qualified enough to be called the Rock!

Okay, we have clearly established that Jehovah was the Rock to the children of Israel pre NT!  Then a question we could also ask, who is the Rock post OT?  We already know from 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 as just covered, that this rock was Jesus.  We can also see further proof by reading these following verses (go on -  look 'em up) ...  1 Pet. 2:7-8 & Rom. 9:32-33!  These verses point out that the Rock of Israel has now become a stumbling stone for them, as Jesus claimed to be their awaited Messiah and Isaiah's prophesied suffering servant of God to come.  What's more, this also proves the Rock was both Jehovah and Jesus.  This means, the rock is not two persons but the same one person nevertheless.  Moreover, the same one true God.

Yes Rock!!  Meaning the Rock is our personal concrete strength and support, as well as our solid, immovable, foundation and standard.  The SAME God who made and begot us, then saved and redeemed us, and fathered us.  The SAME Maker who become our husband (Jer. 31:32 & 2 Cor. 11:2).  The personal support that goes with us and for us.  The SAME God and Lord we can give up on, if we choose to (Deut. 32:15-18); as Israel did.  Definitely, sounds like a person to me. One person in fact!  Moreover, He definitely sounds like the Lord, our true ONE God that never dictates our faith or controls our own individual will.

"But Jeshurun grew fat (out numerically, but not up maturely) and kicked; you grew fat (out numerically, but not up maturely), you grew thick (out numerically, but not up maturely), you are obese (with too much spoon-fed spiritual food and milk, but not enough experience/exercise - being a doer)!  Then he forsook God who made him, and scornfully esteemed the Rock of his salvation ...  Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful, and have forgotten the God who fathered you."

Can a rock be a father?  It can when the Rock (Christ) and God are one and the same person!

A visiting or hospitable angel sounds a bit more personal and warmer than someone called a rock calling in on you, wouldn't you say (especially if "She" is beautiful, "angelic" and adorable - but we wont go there on this occasion)?  However, the Rock, our Lord, who the scriptures speak of, is a different story.  This rock comes with spirit and life, and is also someone we can eat and drink from.  Not only is this rock essentially our Maker and Father, but it is basically another term for the angel of the Lord ...  Jesus!  The Rock who went before and the Rock who followed from behind.  Our Rock, the Lord, the scriptures speaks of, reveal this (Deut. 32:30-31):

"How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had surrendered them?  For their (the unbeliever's) rock (a lessor or weaker rock in power, might and strength - more a brick me thinks - manmade) is not like our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges."

As I implied, a rock sounds rather cold and impersonal.  Aren't idols very often made of stone, as well as buildings and statues?  However, there are many qualities a rock has which parallels to our Lord and the reason the Lord God can be called the Rock (commencing with a capital letter - as the Rock of rocks).  On the other hand, the Lord being mentioned as just an angel can sometimes limit the Lord in presenting His full character.  This is how warm, personal and intimate our living Rock (the angel of the Lord) is (2 Sam. 22:47; Ps. 18:46):

"The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock (my solid immovable foundation and standard)!  Let God be exalted, the Rock of my salvation!"

This Rock is living and speaks to us and draws near to us, and fathers us, and is personal as mentioned before ...  "The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me".  Not only does this Rock speak to us but we can draw near to Him and commune with Him also (Psalm 28:1):

"To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock: do not be silent to me, lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit."

God is more than an angel or a rock to us.  He is our strong solid foundation to build on, our bedrock as opposed to shifting sand.  He is our fortress and strong tower also, who guides and leads us (Ps. 31:3):

"For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Your name's sake, lead me and guide me."

He is a rock of refuge and surety!  A rock that can't be moved and a place to be firmly, surely and eternally standing on, as our total ongoing perpetual security.  Someone totally reliable and consistent enough to fully trust and call out to, and lean on, to guide and lead us all the way home (Ps. 61:2):

"From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Yes, He is 'our/my rock and our/my fortress and our/my deliverer' making Him a personal and intimate Rock.  What's more, just because He is three things here, it does not mean He is three separate individual people here.  This argument never stacks up and the reason many use only verses of "three" that can meet their case.  However, if other passages can't be omitted, it would cancel out their case entirely.  This is the reason for religious professionals and textual critics, who can show such "expertise" in playing down passages, or locking them away for some so-called future reference, whereas playing up others and making them official creed, to suit their own religious agenda.

Yes, the scriptures can't be broken and the God of the scriptures is a rock who can't be smashed but will smash everything opposed to Him to pieces.  He is also a God of reason, a God of love and not outta reach.  Moreover, because He (as one person/God) is personal and up close, this means we can also embrace Him or shun Him by individual choice (Is. 17:10):

"Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold ..."

Israel never saw God as three, but the same Lord who was three things to them (not persons)  ...  a rock, redeemer and saviour!  Or ...  a rock, fortress and deliver!  Look at Psalm 78:35:

"Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer.".

This God and Lord was definitely only one person, not three, as it was inspirationally written of Him, as one God and Lord, as the inspired writer in reference to God claimed ... " there is none beside You" (singular)!  Take a look at 1 Sam. 2:2 here:

"No one is holy like the LORD, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God."

Where do you find two identical scriptures?  Occasionally you can when God wants to really reinforce something like 2 Samuel 22:32 & Psalm 18:31:

"For who is God, except the LORD (only one and none other besides)? And who is a rock, except our God (only one and none other besides)?"

Here is the good, perfect and fitting reason why we can call God our Rock (again three things but not three people) as Ps. 62:2:

"He only (yes ... ONLY) is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved." .

One Rock and one Lord ...  the same God

Jesus never expected His church to see Himself as the Rock being "God the Father" as the One who is our fortress and strong tower, and "God the Holy Spirit" as the other One who leads and guides us at the same time.  We have just read directly from scripture where the Rock (one rock) is all these things as one God.  He never intended us to break Himself up like this as two or three separate individual beings.  He was all these things ...  our fortress, strong tower, guide and one who leads!  He indeed is the fulness of God and making God personal, as God put on flesh and became man to save and redeem us.  This doctrine is water tight and as solid as a rock, coming as the same person in angelic form in the OT and as the begotten Son in the NT.  Remember, Jesus was revealed universally "in the days of his flesh"!

Here's more proof from Exodus 14:19.  It shows clearly how the angel could change its position when it was looking after Israel in the wilderness.  Sometimes it was in front and other times it was behind them.  Did this mean Israel had a rock called Jesus and an angel called Jesus, both following behind them together, at the same time?  Or a rock called Jesus and an angel called Jesus, both going before them together, at the same time?  That counts up to (by my simple calculations) 'two Lord's' looking after them at the same time?  See what the verse says:

"And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them"

Some may dismiss what I am saying here, by saying there is no mention of the name Jesus in the OT, let alone giving reference to the rock or angel who followed and lead the children of Israel in the wilderness.  They would be exactly right, and here is the reason as found in Judges 13:17-18:

"And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour? And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret."

The name made manifest

Of course, we know the Hebraic name Michael and Gabriel was not a secret at this time.  Nor even the name Melchisedec or Lucifer for that matter.  However, the Greek name Jesus (residing from the Hebraic Joshua) was still a secret at this stage.  You see the name of Jesus, outside Him being just an angelic man (who was also the Rock and the Lord), was a hidden secret prior to the introduction of the NT.  At the commencement of the NT and the conclusion of the OT (as one was phased into the other), it was now made plain and known, and announced and revealed for the first time.  God had put on flesh and blood and become personalized and a very intimate friend for the whosoever at the same time.  He could now become our own personal God, Saviour, Messiah, Dad, Brother and Lord.  What's more, now God had a name beyond Jehovah ("He is who He is") personalized now as Jesus (God saves) for the whosoever.  Do you believe it?  Here's the great verse (Romans 16:25-26) reassuring us of the announcement of the Lord Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) for the first time and for all time and eternity, crossing and removing all barriers and divisions:

"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest".

When the children of Israel entered the promised land, the angel present was also known as "the captain of the host (of the angels) of the LORD".  If this angel was another holy angel like Michael (or Gabriel), he would not have received worship and would not have represented holy ground, as God would and did with Moses.  Besides, what's more important ... "the gold, or the temple (Jesus) that sanctifieth the gold"?  Or ...  "the gift, or the altar (Jesus) that sanctifieth the gift?"  God is never inconsistent, is He?  Look at Josh. 5:14-15:

"And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come.  And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto my servant. And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.  And Joshua did so."

This man cannot be just merely an angel or else he too would've been ousted outta heaven as a fallen angel with the rest of Lucifer's fallen cohorts.  Both holy angels and righteous men do not take worship to themselves.  They humbly and fearfully redirect it to God when they represent Him.  In contrast, Lucifer failed to and kept praise to himself and fell.  However, this angel, which Joshua stood before on holy ground, did not rebuke Joshua and was the captain of the host ...  of all the angels!

Conclusion at this point in time:  God comes, or manifests Himself three ways (not because He/They are three different people).  For example, following is three major ways God manifests Himself:

1)  In the Spirit.  He is omnipresent and come and goes like the wind (in the spiritual realm - no limitations).

2)  In the angelic.  As an individual man called an angel, with access to both heaven and earth (connecting the spiritual with the physical and vice versa - some limitations).

3)  In the flesh.  As an individual man again, this time being limited to time and geography, and born of a woman (limited by the physical world).

Trust this covers and clears up a lot of things for us, as it did for me.  Hopefully, you will also find that this does not pigeon hole God as in the Trinity doctrine.  However, it does reveal three things about how God is without limitations ...  omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere at all times).  As well as, on the other hand, knowing limitation (coming as a man).  Please note, this is not a contradiction when you rightly divide, but a scriptural reality, by seeing things God's way and in the Spirit.  Yes, "a just weight (balance) is (indeed) His delight"!

Therefore, it is very important and imperative that God is spirit first ...  the Holy Ghost without limitations!  Then manifested angelically, bridging heaven and earth.  Followed by coming as flesh and blood (with much limitations) in order to empathize with, win and save mankind, of those few who call out and find space to repent.

Truth or tradition?  Revelation or indoctrination?

However, getting back to what the Penties and Charimaniacs preach, in regards to the Holy Ghost and the so-called "second blessing", with that familiar question again ...  does not the fulness of God come through the baptism of the Holy Spirit?  No, the baptism of the Holy Ghost is all to do with how our Lord manifests Himself to His children or through His children.  Remember, the Holy Ghost is made up largely of seven chief spirits (see the book of Revelation), or seven chief manifestations as spiritual anointings!

No, these seven Spirits are not the seven churches in the book of Revelation as some say, laying out a chronological order of seven supposed church periods or events throughout history (another form of dispensationalism).  They all make up the Holy Spirit as just pointed out and are various manifestations of Him.  Therefore, you cannot break these Spirits up into segments as some do, to make it their historical case and justify their institutionalized movement.  You must see the full relevance they ALL hold in the 'here and now' for every person.  When we apply this revelation it changes things entirely and God's word becomes reality, present-tense, completely applicable to the saints now, wrecking both denominational and dispensational boundaries man has set up, in order to box in or triangulate God, as man so happens to do.

Another very important factor to mention here is that if the so-called professing church started teaching and preaching the seven Spirits as being God from God, for the present 'here and now', then using this same type of logic that justifies the Trinity, a SEVEN person God would also have to be endorsed or maybe replace the THREE person God.  Or maybe we could choose out of a "three person god" or a "seven person god" which one we individually wanted to go with?  Dependant on which one suited our social environment or (stretched) theology the best!  For information and enlightenment sake, it is the the seven candlesticks that are actually the seven churches according to scripture, confirmed here in Rev 1:20:

"The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Proof that the seven Spirits are not the seven churches is found here, where we find the seven before the throne in heaven:

Re 1:4-5.  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come (God - witness 1); and from the seven Spirits (God - witness 2) which are before his throne: And from Jesus Christ (God - witness 3)".

From the above passage we find John in person greeting the seven churches as well as God as three witnesses (not three persons).  Moreover, as Jesus sent forth the Holy Ghost in Acts 2, John in Rev. 5:6 makes it clear also that these seven Spirits come from the Lord and are called "the seven Spirits of God", and are therefore not the seven churches:

"And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth."

Furthermore, churches are not sent from heaven but are born on earth, as people are regenerated by the Spirit and gather and function as one in the Lord, becoming living lights on earth.  Therefore, breaking all this down and placing them in sequence, we find the following:

'The seven churches', which are 'the seven golden candlesticks' ...  meaning, the seven churches are lit up as (golden) candles (lit up as bright as a city on a hill).
Then we have 'the seven stars' which are 'the seven angels' of 'the seven churches' ...  meaning, the seven churches also are presided with seven shinning angels (stars) in heaven.
Followed by 'the seven lamps of fire' burning before the throne, which are 'the seven Spirits of God' ...  meaning, just like seven lights on earth and in the mid heaven (the angelic) there is also seven lights in the sanctuary before the throne, being the seven Spirits (or manifestations of God).

Bearing in mind, these seven Spirits (manifestations) are sent to earth also (5:6) to anoint and fill, and bring specific giftings or manifestations to the saints for a specific purpose, as we will see in the next portion.  In regards to these seven manifestations, here they are following and will be expounded on more later.  From  Is. 11:2:

"And the spirit of the LORD (1) shall rest upon him - (shall come upon, be anointed upon - the manifest life - 1 John 1:2)
the spirit of wisdom (2) - the gift of wisdom
and understanding (3), - the prophetic (1 Cor. 13:2)
the spirit of counsel (4) -  Pr. 8:14
and might (5), - power - "for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you (1 Pet. 4:14)"
the spirit of knowledge (6) - "word of knowledge (1 Cor. 12:8)"
and of the fear of the LORD (7)

Basically, the anointing (or the outpouring) is to do with the way the Lord chooses to manifest Himself.  Therefore, He can only manifest Himself in the Spirit coz this is the only way He can do this across the board, so to speak (not being restricted as flesh and blood or as one angelic being by geography and location).  Or across the Body, from individual to individual.  Or some times at once, in isolated incidences.  Herez how Paul puts it to the church at Corinth (in the first lot of epistles, 7-11):

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man (believer) to profit withal.  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing (as different manifestations) to every man severally (multi times) as he will."

There we have it ...  various ("severally" multiple) manifestations, or spirits, being found in scipture!  But of and as "one and the selfsame Spirit" as the word says!  Verse 13:  "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all (every believer) made to drink into one Spirit."  This being nothing to do with salvation by the way, but the way the Lord chooses to manifest Himself through His people, for His own reason and purpose, as they are yielded and conformed to His will.

Furthermore, a good example from scripture about how a specific spirit or anointing is given for a specific time (to endower, unction, enable and empower the believer, for the glory of God) is not only found in Acts Two (where unlearnt, unpolished and common men could preach the gospel with boldness), but what happens when a Christian is also persecuted, even in the most cruel way?  How can they endure such harshness and injustice, and come out as victors as Peter and John did (Acts 4:18) for preaching the outlawed Jesus in public?  Answer (1 Pet. 4:14):

"If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part (the non believer) he (Jesus) is evil spoken of, but on your part (the believer) he (Jesus) is glorified."

This nothing to do with an emotional psych-up or an intellectual hype-up by the person in need, but because God looks down and chooses to anoint his servant with power as He did with Stephen when Stephen was painfully being stoned to death.  Moreover, it is nothing to do with a fatalist attitude or becoming numb by handing yourself over to supernatural powers, a tranced state, or coping out in an hypnotic state, but because out of the grace and goodness of God He has extended to His servant with divine power to overcome victoriously in Him.  After all, and according to Is. 10:27, "the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."  Thatz God faithfully doing His part (with nothing of ourselves) as we faithfully abide in Him.

The anointing or baptism is not the born again experience, but ...

The logic with the Penties (and sometimes the Charismaniacs) is when you are born again you find Jesus, God the Son (the second person called God).  Then later on when you are baptized (or filled) with the Holy Spirit, you find God the Spirit (the third person called God).  This will then enable you, as you get filled everyday, to know "the Father heart of God", God the Father that iz (the first person called God)!  So the teaching goes!

Now doesn't that sound nice, as an analytical way of presenting and expressing God all wrapped up, pigeon holed, and neatly packaged for the new convert to learn but never question.  A great way for someone new to come in and get the wool pulled over their eyes to thinking they are serving one God while they are actually serving three divine separate persons at the same time, as deity.  This is due to the notion you cannot question the Great Teacher, the Holy Spirit (according to this teaching).  Also, being reminded here that you could be verging on blaspheming the Holy Spirit ("coz He is a very special One of the Three you know") and being lost forever, if you start making inquiries like these.  A lovely attractive package to embrace, with horrible consequences awaiting you should you dare to question and try and get things for yourself, in accordance with God's word and straight from God direct by the way (Pr. 25:2, Eph 5:6, 1 Thes. 5:21, 1 John 2:27 & 4:1).  The horrible consequences as mentioned being God rejecting you forever as a believer, coz you thought you would test "the holy spirit" of Christendom to be satisfied scripturally whether this spirit is indeed the true Spirit of God or not, the Spirit of TRUTH, reinforcing who Jesus is and not who the Trinity is, or other traditions of the mainstream IC.

The truth with religion, it always comes down to using the tool of fear or guilt working hand in hand, to manipulate the spiritually naive or complacent into compliance.  See how this Trinity thing is all religiously sown up, to trap new converts and keep old traditionalists pew bound, till earthly departure!

I know I will upset many of my formal and present Pentecostal friends by the points I made at the beginning of this treatise, by my generalization of this fragmented movement.  No doubt the (very few) more biblically orientated Pentecostals will accuse me of attacking the whole movement per se, when they would be staunch in standing by the notion that 'traditional' or 'classical' (nice word) Pentecostalism is scriptural and that it just happened to be spoiled, or hijacked, or discredited, by the excesses and extremes of the more wayward followers of this movement, especially in these apostatized latter days.
My point though is this ...  if the foundation of something is wrong, then so is the building it is built upon!  As an example ...  if Catholicism is wrong from the beginning, then so is any movement (like the Catholic Charismatic movement) that springs from it.  Not to forget to mention the break away Protestant cliques through and since the Reformation.  Would this not be true?  Most movements throughout history, from their onset, were based on the direction their founders had taken, after a genuine outpouring.  This includes the turn of the 20th Century, when the Pentecostal movement commenced from the leftovers of the dwindling Welsh revival and other genuine outpourings gone sower, similar to Asusa Street and the later Jesus Movement of the late 1960s.

The very reason a genuine revival is quenched (that's a large outbreak and manifestation of the Holy Ghost in one place, centred on and glorifying Jesus only - never the Trinity - as well as His imminent return), is not due to God deliberately abandoning His people coz He feels it is time to move on elsewhere, just for the fun of it (and taking with Him heaven's blessing and refreshment at the same time) because God has become so bored or tired of His people.  Or some other unfounded reason.

It is never God's will to depart from His people.  It is always because His 'called out' people are the ones who have departed from Him, by listening to man instead, and being seduced away.  This is because they have allowed themselves to be lead away by men institutionalizing the Bible, selling the truth or organizing the "move of God".  In other words, it is because many of God's people have been mesmerized with men pleasing doctrine, then departed from the faith as a result, thinking they had done the right and honourable thing, by following "qualified" and professional men who they believed would never decieive them.  This spiritual degeneration is very subtle and is a clever tactic of the Devil, who will infiltrate and counterfeit the works of God and use 'a truth' or 'a revelation', taken to extreme, as the bait, to lure the unsuspecting and naive into his religious trap.

This trap could be getting stuck in a denomination or a cult.  Or coming under some new teaching waltzing onto the scene, to replace a 'tired' and 'worn out' old doctrine, that has failed to make the church or group expand numerically.  Very sad, because God is not after fat fellowships anyway.  Nor corporate impression or expression, but individual growth.  This inner maturing process is found on a more low key note and on a much smaller scale, due to the unpopularity and cost involved in living for the gospel.  Never due to converting en masse.  Meaning ...  more bottoms on pews adds up to more loot in the collection, to cover the wages of the head sherangs plus the overheads incurred.

God's call however, is nothing to do with the "spectacular", or the external, or running a business in His name.  Even if it means for the called individual remaining in obscurity for the Lord, being hidden with Christ, instead of striving for popularity, recognition or platform (I think they call it prestige).  Or to prove you are of a "special" calling; or have a "special" anointing; or are a "special" and rare kind ...  like being raised up "watchman" or "prophet" or "the voice of God", for the very last hour.  Did you not know that emulation is not from the Lord anyway!  Read Gal. 5:20.

Therefore, ignore all 'attention seekers' and 'position hunters', instead, and make the word of God your final authority!  Thatz because it is really hard to crack these eggheads and nutheads, as they have convinced themselves into believing that any loving correction or real concern shown towards them is actually persecution against them.  Thatz cos they have also convinced themselves they have got all the goods and all revelation sown up, and don't need being spoon fed on anything "second-hand" from you or me or anyone.  Or that any concern or correction shown towards them just happens to be religious folk manifesting and spitting the dummy, due to being envious of their zeal and speciality in God.  When in actual fact they are the ones clutching for straws.  Coz deep down they wont admit they are phoney, who have taken the bait (the icing and the cake too), or have been bought off somewhere along the line.

Furthermore, just because I reject man-made movements (which include all the Pentecostal churches because they have taken the bait from commencement - yielded to the temptation to organize and name) this does not mean I reject everything they stand for.  Nor does it mean I have embraced 'the cessation movement' either, as a counteraction or rebound.  Nor because I have looked for an alternative as an apparent "burnt out" or dejected Pentecostal.  If God is divine and chooses to move miraculously, like granting a gift of wisdom or knowledge for as specific time and purpose to someone; or sees to speak through someone in an unknown tongue, or perfectly heal a medical condition instantly (always for His glory and purpose only, of course); then that's God's prerogative according to His word.  After all, He is God alone!

Moreover, this has got nothing to do with what teacher or movement I have chosen to follow, but because I am a Bible believer and believe the word when Jesus said to His followers (no, not Israel of the flesh) …  "greater works than these shall he do", etc.  The condition of course (which many have forgot to teach and the reason it has been so easily explained away), is that this privilege is only reserved for those who deem themselves "least in the kingdom of heaven"!  As simple and uncluttered as it sounds, this is the essence of our faith and the simplicity that is in Christ.  Furthermore, this simplicity can never be complicated or philosophized away, as it is never divorced from the cross.  In fact, it is the only thing we are to know continually ...  Jesus Christ, and him crucified!

This brings me to the place of expounding on God manifesting Himself in many ways as He chooses to, for His own purposes, gain and glory, in the natural as well as the spiritual.  This never happens in the Devil's playground of course, to what is labelled as 'the supernatural'!  God is not a supernatural god by the way, but a natural and beyond natural God!  He does not operate in the subnormal either, but in the normal!  Anything with a 'super', 'excess', 'freaky', or 'extreme' element or tag, is satanic and deceptive.  Merely because God never sanctifies crankism, "the weird and wonderful", nor lunacy.  Being addicted "to the ministry of the saints" as in 1 Cor. 16:15, is nothing to do with being "a junky for Jesus" or a religious fanatic either.  This verse merely means to be involved (occupied) with the ministering of others within the Body.  The term "Jesus Freak" is a slur or degradation against the true faith also.  Fanaticism is nothing to do with God.

Furthermore, by yielding to the supernatural one is automatically playing Satan's game, who comes as an angel of light, who loves handing out warm fuzzies, nice vibes and elated feelings, if it means the bait can be taken for deception, as well as the suspect being diverted from the written word.  'Crowd control' (like 'corporate worship' or tradition's obsession with 'formalism') are great tools in his hands.  Especially when it is done in Jesus name, because this relaxes the supposed Bible believer and takes him off guard, making him believe the course he is taken is sound, coz it has Jesus name stamped on it.  Not so, if you rightly divide the word of life!  Simply because, what is done in 'the name' must line up with 'the word'.  This is the reason the Bible believer has every right to judge, discern, question, and weigh things up for himself, and go from there ...  proving all things; and holding fast that which is good!

The truth is ...  God our Maker and Deliver is first into changing the individual from the inside out.  This is triggered off by heartfelt repentance and brokeness from the individual, before the Lord.  Secondly, God then knows He has now been welcomed into a position of strengthening this softened and teachable individual from the innerman out, not the other way (what some term 'character building') in order for stability and steadfastness in Him.  The other way (from the outside in) centres on personality enhancement and making man look inward to himself, to achieve success by self-improvement.  This way man can build his own wishful remedies in trying to solve his eternal quandary, instead of looking out and up to the risen Christ.  This inward self-search omits responsibility towards God and waives the gift of repentance out the door.  The 'looking out' and away from self for salvation, is dangerous for the Devil and his kingdom, as this way, the individual is vulnerable towards his Maker and brings admittance to himself for the need for external deliverance, as well as the need for God and the end to living and trying without Him.

Additionally, it is not mans business nor prerogative to work out who God is, let alone give Him labels or categories.  Mans place is simply to bend and yield before God and acknowledge God for who He is.  This of course takes swallowing one's pride and humbling oneself before the Almighty.  Any manifestation from God (which can be tested) is for His own reason and not for man to categorize and assume it is a trademark of the Godhead as one separate personality expressing himself this way, with another personality expressing himself another way (while being a separate individual but one in unison with the others, who are also called God).  If God is God alone, with no other beside Him, then any expression from Him, is His chosen way to manifest Himself and not licence for man to conclude another personality is working out of heaven in accordance with another personality, or personalities (plural), co existing together there as well.

In other words, a spiritual manifestation from above is not proof of multi personalities, but one God choosing to display or reveal Himself this particular way, for His one particular reason, purpose and to His credit.  If you want to use logic then here is logic:

Take the Spirit of God f'instance ...  the Holy Ghost!  God being omnipresent that iz!  But the same God nevertheless!  Religion says this Spirit is God the Spirit, who happens to be one out of three in heaven co existing with Two other persons as God the Third Person!  Right!  Okay, lets dig deeper and take this further:  As far as the Spirit is concerned, scripture is clear the Spirit can manifest itself (yes, itself - no apologies!) in seven ways or so, as mentioned previously.  Are you with me (and gotcha Bible ready)?  Do you really want to be logical (actually 'reasonable' is a more accurate word here)?  Following we can see these seven manifestations again, which the written word calls "the Seven spirits of God".  Yes, thatz multi spirits from God!  By rightly dividing scripture and allowing scripture to prove and back itself, here they are once again, reiterating Is. 11:2:

"And the spirit of the LORD (1) shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom (2) and understanding (3), the spirit of counsel (4) and might (5), the spirit of knowledge (6) and of the fear of the LORD (7)".

Now isn't this a contradiction when scripture is clear that there is only one Spirit?  Of course it is a contradiction, just as it is when it says there is only one God, if you happen to follow tradition.  However, man is clever isn't he, with a little bit of cunning from the Devil?  He will leave one pattern of logic out of the equation coz it does not suit, like there is only ONE Spirit (this Spirit fits in with the Trinity after all).  However, he will hone in on the other pattern of logic and bend and make it suit, by saying it does not rule out the THREE.  Typical!  Therefore, where it says seven Spirits, man can rightfully agree there is only one Spirit!  However, on the other hand, when it says only one God and Lord, man can have a (twisted) reason to say there happens to be Three separate persons!  Yes, very typical of Bible corrupters and doctrine inventors ...  they will keep one truth when it suits, but bend the other truth when it does not suit!  If man is consistent in his analogy here, then the seven Spirits should represent seven separate beings, just as the three in heaven represent three separate beings, according to the Trinity conclusion.

Oh, I could go on!  Let's not forget the other examples from God's holy word I used in the other treatises, in the same context of this one about the seven Spirits.  Remember, there was three Jehovah's (although Jehovah is the true one God) in the Old Testament.  However, the Jews never capitalized on this and bent it to reinvent God as Three, as what happened later when the NT came into being.

There was also the example of Paul coming three times to the Corinthians, with three messages, but it was still the same Paul, wasn't it?  This only proved the biblical principle of three witnesses, not three separate people.  Is is also something both the Catholics and Protestants overlook in the NT, that God manifests Himself (not Themselves) three ways.  However, it doesn't mean or endorse that Gods is three separate people, entities, divine persons.  Unless (like the religious leaders in Jesus' day) you want to place Tradition on par with or under the word, as Christendom does.

Oh, I could mention the so-called THREE wise men tradition being used to prove the Trinity.  This is one of the most wackiest of all of course, as there is not three wise men found in the NT, only the caravan of wise men from the east, who meet up with and gave gifts to the baby Jesus.  If this was the Trinity, then why did they allow a star to guide them?  Also, how could Jesus be the middle man of the so-called "three wise men" and also be the baby in the crib at the same time?  Therefore, we would find here Jesus the Son visiting with the other two within the Godhead, giving gifts to Jesus the Son as a baby outside the Godhead, cancelling out the meaning of the Three in One Trinity instantly!

What's more, I could go on more about the three ...  Joseph (the Father), Mary (apparently representative of the Holy Spirit) and Jesus (the Son) being incorporated into the Holy Trinity.  However, let's not go there on this occasion.  There is also the example of both Jesus and God being the Rock.  Meaning, cos there is only one Rock in scripture that is both living and personalized as our Rock, it is the same person, not two!  This same person being both God and Jesus!  Expounding more, scripture says three things about this Rock (2 Sam. 22:2 & Psalm 18:2):

"And he said: 'The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer..."

Even though the Lord can be three personal things to us (like a rock, fortress and deliverer) He is the same God and Lord nevertheless (not three individual persons - right!), being as solid and immovable as a rock.  This rock, who is our own personal and living Rock, could be classed (as mentioned) as two in this case, if you took scripture out of context, as Jesus and God both relate to the Rock.  Moreover, why are they not referred to as Three ...  "my rock and my fortress and my deliverer"?  Of course, even within Christendom it would look like it was going a bit overboard (like the so-called 'three wise men').

However, at the end of the day, you could use the same argument if you happen to be defending the Trinity doctrine.  In the end it proves three things, three manifestations, three presentations, three expressions, three angles (no, not a typo this time) that have got absolutely nothing to do with three separate individual people!  Who happens to be so much in agreement and consensus that they were one.  Remember again, the Three Musketeers ...  "all for one and one for all"!  Yes, these were three different (colourful) blokes all right, and had absolutely nothing to do with three different expressions of one bloke.  While God is one, and there is none besides Him; and as Paul ...  "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."  Paul, or Saul, or coming three times, or being three witnesses!  Still the same Bloke!  Dig!?

Her'riz an amazing exercise to do ...  for all those who have a love for the truth that is!  Type in (thatz 'key in' for all the geeks) "one time" into your Authorized Holy Bible "phrase search" and what do you get?  Not much eh!  Now type in "two times".  Again, not much.  Now type in "three times" and you'll be blown away!  Keep trying if you are not satisfied ...  "four times", "five times", and "six times"!  Still nothing to write home about.  Okay, now try "seven times" and you'll notice a big obvious jump.   Keep trying ...  "eight times"; nothing!  "Nine time"; nothing again!  Lastly, "ten times"; still not much!

Conclusion ...  the 'threes' and the 'sevens' win it by a very long shot.  Thatz because 'three' biblically stands for complete 'witness' (not 'persons').  Oh, and this is also means three manifestations of the Godhead and not three different people!  As well as seven manifestations of the Spirit do not mean seven different beings, as 'seven' biblically stands for 'completion' as well!  Is the penny beginning to drop by now?

However, most Pentecostals and Charismatics (both liberals and the staunch) believe that God comes as three separate persons, who they also claim as the one same God.  They also believe or embrace the teaching that He comes as three separate individual persons (whether He has three bodies, three heads, or three faces, or whatever) even though His word specifically reveals He only manifests Himself either in angelic form (in the spiritual as the same person and God) or in human form (in the natural as the same Jesus and God) as already covered previously.  My ministry (as some prefer to call it) or my writings (whatever you wish to call them) are very simple and clear.  My purpose is to point people to the scriptures, with scriptural reasons and support.  Hence my writings!  That's all!  Meaning, if you embrace the scriptures fully as your daily bread and final authority, but leave me out of your life or equation, and not have a bar of me as your guru, then it would be wonderful!  Who cares!  The object of the exercise has been achieved!  If you are placing the word as your final authority and hearing from God, you are indeed on your way dear pilgrim!

This is the reason I ask you this question ...  is the written word your daily bread and final authority before all things?  As far as God is concerned ...  if you reject His word you reject Him.  If you embrace a mixture (both tradition and the truth) ...  God can't be there.  How basic do we need to get?  Religion is not base, but orchestrated and contrived.  It is not straight and narrow, but sophisticated, bent and complicates the simplicity in Christ.  It all comes back to what and who we take on board, and allow into our heart, at the end of the day ...  the Lord Jesus Christ or a triune god?  If you choose Christ, then you receive God's fulness!  What more do you need?
