Cover Intro (for
all)
It has become evident of late that the bombing of Lebanon by
Israel was pre planned by Israel and the US long before the kidnap of
the two Israeli solders. Not only did the massive response take
the world by surprise but the fact that Israel now has sophisticated
'precision guided bombs' along with the US, which was also another
opportune time for the US to test their capability and fine-tune their
accuracy, while Israel also had the advantage of total air superiority
during the whole campaign. In addition (which may have been the
main factor) the US was able to boost their forces in Iraq quite
significantly and
simultaneously launch a major offensive in sending back their army into
Baghdad in order to try and bring it back under control, as the world's
attention was drawn away to what was happening in Southern Lebanon and
Northern Israel. Another great political smokescreen indeed!
While this took place the Israeli army was used not to eradicate the
Hizbollah, but to make it look like Israel was taking on the Hizbollah
in a fight to the finish, ending in frustration for both the Israeli
soldiers and
their military commanders, as once again they had their hands tied by
political decisions for political reasons. The end result being
of course a "no win war" for both sides; just wide spread social
disruption, frustration, misery, death and destruction; plus an offer
by the
US
to rebuild Lebanon.
Why was this war going nowhere from the start? Simply because it
was just another global mirror in reflecting the futility of war and
the reason to
pursue a peace treaty in this strategic region, among all its warring
factions, with a third party intervening and to make this
possible. Yes, the way is being set for Israel to eventually surrender
its
boundaries for the guarantee of peace and security. This will mean the
intrusion of an international force to eventually
take the reins in the city of Jerusalem, by taking advantage of a
coming
agreed 'treaty above all treaties'. This signed covenant by the way,
will result
in the
fulfilment of 2 Thessalonians 2:4:
"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God."
To the true Bible based, cross centred, Holy Ghost discerning believer,
this is a great word of encouragement, who can take heart the true King
of Israel and Saviour of the
world will be coming back very shortly for His own, and to take them
home to be with Him forever.
To the reader who finds this all too hard to somehow comprehend or
understand
... the Bible makes it plain that it is because "the god of this world
(Satan the Devil)
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto
them."
This spiritual blindness can happen in full or in part, proportionally
depending upon the amount of religiosity dispositioned in the
individual, either hereditarily or circumstantially, or both. In
the end, it is what the individual does with the truth that will be to
his eternal benefit or demise. Just because the West may use
Christianity as a means, and use the name of Jesus to justify their
cause, or use biblical references to give it some sort of religious
credence, this does not mean however, that God will not keep His word
or back down from His promises. It is only the world's god
(fallen
Lucifer's) way in discrediting the truth, in order to shut out
multitudes
from the
truth, in coherence with his religious pawns, who Jesus of Nazareth
exposed and rebuked ... "for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven
against men:
for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are
entering to go in."
Surely it must make sense now why this carpenter from Nazareth really
got up the noses of the priests and religious hierarchy of His day, and
why
these blokes set Him up, in order to take Him out.
To the Western Reader (who may have been hoodwinked)
While populations of nations are being moved around by the convenience
of travel, refugee displacement, migration, immigration (legal and
illegal),
and by the integration and absorption of cultures and belief systems
(now with the absence of identity assimilation), in order to cancel out
global conflict; the occasion has arisen for the Islamic faith to
extend itself and entrench itself not only in Western society but in
every corner of the world. With similarities to the western
"Christian" faith, where it too comes in many forms and brands (some
peaceful and some violent), a deep seated suspicion has arisen in the
West as a by-product of
the extreme spectrum of this foreign faith, due to the violence or
civil and social disruption it has also brought with it to the western
world.
Also due to this trend, Militant Moslems have been able to
infiltrate
and are now well established in every major country ready to do Jihad
against anyone who is not as fanatical as they are to their
cause. As the enemy is now lodged within, without common battle
fronts and dividing lines, it is probably the
hardest enemy in all history to eradicate, because it is also an enemy
willing to
die at any time, blindly, without weighing up any consequences.
Moreover, this
has made it equally as awkward to deal with, knowing it will also (in
some cases) infuriate its sympathizers and like-minded brothers in the
Islam
faith, who are also well entrenched and largely to much extent,
unassimilated in
western society.
Why is it now politically incorrect (almost outlawed) to speak
"negatively" (using a good PC word) about any religion, particularly
Islam
(even the Pope is not allowed to do this now) unless the phrase
'terrorism'
(which somehow cannot be defined) or 'fundamentalism' (in a very broad
sense) are being mentioned as the troublesome foes for all the world's
woes? The answer is certainly not one of convenience, nor is it
political, but is
from the Bible nevertheless, and is to do with what God almighty
chooses to do ...
"Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy
your high places."
The other big question on the minds of many at present ... How did
all
this ugly disturbance and uncertainty come about, like out of nowhere,
in such a short time period? ... Why is this
utterly ruthless enemy
now here and within, and how have we accommodated it? These
questions have now become more relevant than ever by the admittance
that the
War On Terror since 911 has actually been used as a fire to inflame
terrorism worldwide and not extinguish it as promised, with atrocities
in Iraq being committed on a wider
scale than during the reign of Saddam Hussein, and "rouge states"
joining hands to be
bolder in their demand to resist and even take on the US.
The answer to this present, ongoing,
painful phenomena, is not because of mere
happenstance or coincidence by the way. Nor just because a bunch of
brainwashed fanatics think of themselves
as Allah's chosen emissaries. But because God Himself
will raise up a force (even an evil force) to use as a sword against
those who use His name
in vain and use as a justification to endorse the evil they hide
behind, as their own "respectable" facade. Hence; the
inconvenience, fear, and great upheaval the spiritually impoverished
West has had to endure of
late, and been kept on tender hooks, while circumstances spiral
out of control, towards the coming world reign of the false man of
peace.
In the end, I think it is inevitable there will only be two answers
to this end time saga: One will be short term and the other
everlasting. One will be mans "justifiable" remedy; to
individually number, identify, monitor and control every single,
individual,
living person on this planet by hi-tech surveillance and
dependency. Or two ... God's salvation (the more difficult
path to take) ... where people will be able to find God's way out
by individually placing
their trust in His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Can you understand now why everything spiritual is being thrown at
this cause, whether it is being hijacked or ignored, as it is made to
look irrelevant, out of sequence with mans
endeavours and pursuits, "extreme", and discredited to the hilt?
To the Moslem Reader (blowing
away myths and misconceptions, scripturally)
Following is just one simple line spoken by God's servant Jesus
while He was residing in what is generally known today as the West Bank
... "Therefore if thine
enemy
hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink".
Firstly, what should be a couple of simple questions ... who is
it that has been
called to such a meek and gentle crusade as the above verse clearly
points out, and who is fulfilling it? ... Who is it who has been
called to turn the
other cheek and not use aggression and violence as a means to bring in
the kingdom of God? Certainly not Christendom or Islam, would you not
agree? Nor
present day Israel, for that matter!
Did
you know that Christianity is actually nothing you ever imagined it to
be, or were led to believe?
This is because many get Christendom (that's manmade Christianity) and
Christianity (Christ's revelation to man) mixed
up. They only
see what is nominal or religiously visible and politically
motivated. This is because the scriptures reveal that spiritual
things are only spiritually discerned, and the reason it was mentioned
earlier about the god of this world having "blinded the minds of them
which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto
them."
F'instance ... did you know there is no holy or sanctified
building required in
Christianity? There never has been, or ever will be, while
Christians walk their pilgrim path down here. Yes, you have been
duped in many more ways than
one. The believers own house or a gathering with friends,
anywhere, is all that
is required for mutual fellowship and encouragement among true Bible
believing Christians.
Did you know there is no place on earth true believers of the Book set
their eyes on, or look to, in their pilgrimage down here? Nor is
there any
holy place or building that can be deemed holy in the true spiritual
sense. Christians are merely in the presence of God (spiritually
that is) the moment of conversion, when they are spiritually born
again and miraculously given a new heart by the Creator Himself, as
well as being miraculously translated from the kingdom of darkness to
the kingdom of light. Through this experience they can
understand and empathize with others in their lost and helpless state
outside the faith,
as well as loving not
only their brethren in the faith, but infidels and foes.
Simply because they believe and know (as the scriptures say),
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved."
This is the true believers mission/crusade/jihad/holy calling ... to
bring this good news unconditionally to others, against castigation,
hostile reaction, and anything that may beset them.
Did you know there is no purification rites in Christianity?
That's right! There is not a single religious sacrifice or rite
that is necessary to be acceptable before God almighty. This
means as a Christian, one is free to eat any food they like, unless
it would be a stumbling block to those they are trying to win?
Did you know that not only is drunkenness condemned by the Christian's
holy book, but drinking alcoholic concoctions as a beverage is never
encouraged, and that wine can be sweet and pure juice from the grape
as it is also scripturally a metaphor of the new life in Christ?
Did you know that there is no holy day to observe when you are a
Christian? A Christian is free to serve the Lord any day, as
he is called to worship God in spirit and in truth. Meaning,
times and
seasons, building
edifices, geographical boundaries, any type of celebration service or
practice, programmes and routines, have no sway at all on how a
Christian worships
God. Worship is a daily attitude of acknowledging your Saviour
and
Maker
in everything you do, which includes everything from work to
recreational activities, as well as coming together to give each other
mutual support in the scriptures. Therefore, God is not found in
any temple, mountain, or building
for
that matter (let alone ritual or format), as the body of a believer
(in the plural sense) becomes God's temple, His holy dwelling place,
where the Spirit of God resides in the believer, as the surrendered
life
is to live for God and not for himself anymore. Which means, if a
Bible believer is being tempted with pleasures and
enticements which would not please His Saviour, or if the thought of
something like body piercing, tattooing, or taking something on himself
that would
not be pleasing God but himself, then these things would be right
outside the question, as the believer no longer lives for himself but
for
the one who has redeemed him and bought him with a great price.
Did you know that a Christian is free from using or participating in
any form of incantations,
ceremony, ritual, or methodology, in pleasing God; as God only requires
a
surrendered heart to His will, which must be lived out in purity,
integrity and virtue?
Did you know that good works or deeds, or penance's, will never earn
you
or anyone merit points in the sight of God? Simply because Jesus
was the last
high priest at the end of the Old Testament and fulfilled or covered
every act a
man could do (legitimate or
illegitimate) in being right with or making peace with his
Maker? The New Testament is clear that Jesus paid the complete
price on the cross, once and for all, and that all the ceremonial laws
in the Old Testament (that were right for then, as temporarily symbolic
for the future) were fulfilled in Christ alone.
Did you know that the kingdom the Christian seeks for, and is born
again
into, does not come with outward observance? Therefore, this
kingdom carries no images or physical symbols, contrary to what
Christendom has embraced or adopted. Therefore, the physical
cross to the true Christian is a repugnant instrument of torture and is
not an adornment to wear or display as a decoration, nor wave as a
banner. The kingdom
of God simply exists because it is God's spiritual, eternal kingdom in
the first place, and does not need enhancing, improving, marketing,
advertising, crusading, defending,
or selling or peddling in anyway. The fact Christ suffered and
died on the cross for us all, and the fact He overcame sin and death
for
us all, is the Christian's glory and the reason he is grateful for the
cross
(the act and the reality of its significance).
Did you know that Christians believe that it is knowing and living by
the truth that sets them free, and that the truth is God's word
recorded as the holy scriptures?
Simply because they have been called by God to liberty and not live
outside of the truth (the complete word of God)?
Did you know that freedom in God is not a licence to do 'your own
thing' or to take laws into your own hand, but to be free to serve God
without ancestral or traditional baggage and imposed rules to follow?
Did you know that a Bible believer is free to make choices for
themselves as long as it does not contradict with what God endorses?
Did you know that a Christian has been ordered by God through His
written word, to obey and not despise leaders and dignitaries,
irrespective of whether they are good or froward, religious or secular,
or Christian or heathen? The only one allowance for
non-compliance by a believer would be where the leader, or the
leadership's policies, contravened the commandments of God.
Did you know that a Bible believer is free to choose their own course
in life down here, like a career or who they marry, or choose as
friends? As long as
this temporary course of life was not dishonouring to God or the
parents that raised them.
Did you know that the Christian scriptures approve of a woman to cover
herself, wear modest apparel, as well as cover her head? Not kidding
... ! Did you know that above all these customs, freedom
wins in the end (as long as it is not compromising good morals and
virtue, or becomes a stumbling block to others)? This means a church
(as a separate entity) cannot establish its own set of rules that a
woman must have her head covered or a man
must have his hair cut short, etc. This is left to individual
conviction before the Lord, as a person conforms to Christ daily in
their relationship with God, with also the purpose of
cutting out men having dominion over your faith, or creating their own
ordinances or liturgies for you or others to adhere to.
Without apologies ... did you know that there is no such thing as
a harem of virgins waiting for men to indulge themselves with, upon
arriving in heaven? Jesus was very clear when He said that those
who make it into heaven, "they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage; but are
as the angels
which are in heaven." In paradise there is no sex as there is no
gender and procreation is no longer necessary. However, the
scriptures are clear that like Eden, believers will have access to the
satisfying tree of life again, and living in the eternal kingdom will
consist of "righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy
Ghost." This is where "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Did you know that Christian men are exalted by scripture to love and
cherish their wives, "and be not bitter
against them", the same way Christ loved His people and died for them?
Also, that children were to respect and obey their
parents, and that parents who did not lovingly physically discipline
their children when they were out of line, were actually hating
(spoiling and mollycoddling) them?
Did you know that in the Christian faith homosexuality is not the issue
but fidelity in marriage? Therefore, any sexual act outside
(before or apart from) holy matrimony is SIN. Which means
fornication and adultery can't be right in the first place, which would
rule out homosexuality as well as pedophilia and bestiality anyway.
Spelling this out clearly ... anything beyond a man and woman in a
faithful marriage situation having sexual
intercourse, is not
endorsed by God at all, nor ever can be. Anything else that goes
beyond this would be at best ... the sin of lust, and at worst ...
the sin of perversion.
Did you know that there is no such thing as spiritual rank amongst
believers, or spiritual professionals ruling the roost in the house of
God? This is
because Jesus stipulated that all His followers were brothers, as well
as commanding His followers not to
use religious titles. The New Testament also commands women not
to rule over men in the house of God nor in family households. Leaders
were to be men
(yes,
men that is
... in the
muscular
sense) who were proven and faithful men, who
happened to be elders being raised up from among the believers
themselves.
Did you know that the New Testament places personal revelation from God
above teachers, spiritual guides, and other human proxies? Which
means the onus is on the individual in continuing in the truth 24/7, as
well as hearing from God for guidance and sound doctrine. This is
also because the individual receives the Spirit of truth (the Holy
Ghost) sent from the Lord Himself, which the scriptures say will guide
you into ALL
truth.
Did you know that Jesus will not allow Himself to be compromised by any
other religion, faith, belief system or ideology? In fact, Jesus
goes beyond these things as He claims to be the reality of who God is,
the
(very) image of the
invisible God, who renders all human substitutes, inventions, proxies
and counterfeits
as obsolete and useless, in serving and knowing Him?
Let's look at all the facts:
There is no institutionalized, centralized power on earth for the body
of believers (the true invisible church) as the city they look to is
the spiritual one in heaven. Jesus is the head of this body (there is
no human figurehead) the true shepherd (pastor).
Jesus is not just a good man or another prophet. If He was then He
would
be the biggest phoney around. The very reason He personally
stated these incredible words to His disciples Himself:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me."
This above portion of scripture means God goes beyond being just an
impersonal God or a tyrannical judge, but is in fact a warm caring
Father
towards His children, a loving personal Daddy that is, and not an
aloof deism or cosmos power out in the "unknown". It also means
that Jesus claims to be the only way (path, road, route) to our Pappa
(Abba) God, as He also claims to be not only the
true source of truth, but the truth itself and the only way to eternal life.
If Jesus is not these things He claims to be, then He is a fraud and
not
worth pursuing or acknowledging in any way. If He is who He
claims to be, then every form of salvation or religion outside of Him
is
a scam and deviation. He can only be one or the other. The
Holy Bible claims He is actually God in the flesh, confirmed not only
by His
historic actions and demonstrations, but by His own recorded words. He
cannot simply just be a good person or
just another pathway or mouth piece of God. If He is a
contradiction, then forget Him. If He is who He claims to be, then
you need to repent, renounce sin and religion in every shape and form,
and serve
Him with your whole life.
The Bible says that no one is righteous
or good. Only Christ Jesus is righteous and pure, who came as the
spotless sacrificial lamb of God to bear our sins and overcome
death. No other prophet or so called holy teacher has been worthy
to take our sins upon himself and declare that we are made holy by his
own shed blood. Whereas, Jesus' spilt blood has done this for us,
in a complete, utter and full way. No other prophet or so called holy
man has been resurrected from the dead and overcome the grave, paving
the way and making it possible that individuals can live
forever. Yes, no one but Jesus! Who said you are either with Him
or against Him, by the way! This is the true God and Saviour who will
never prostitute Himself to suit man and pamper his needs, and allow man to remain lost or
deceived and
outside the grace of God forever.
As you may know ... Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago and is the
only
man to split history in half ... where His word also declares that the
enmity
between us all was dealt with at His execution stake, known as the
cross. Which means, when we embrace Him as Redeemer and Deliverer,
then there is no need for war or conflict among each other any
more. The very reason He said that His servants would not fight
and were to put away the sword.
What did Jesus mean when He uttered these three incredible words while
nailed to, and suffering in agony on the splintery old tree ... "IT IS
FINISHED"? Just that! God had put a stop to all forms and
procedures in coming to Him, and that through Christ we would have
victory over sin and death. God's way is always simple ...
in Hebrews chapter one the first two verses read:
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto
the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by
his Son".
The above passage of scripture virtually means that since Jesus came
there is no need any more of a new prophet coming on the scene with a
new revelation.
Everything in God was summed up in His only begotten Son, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Yes, it
was
FINISHED and it
is FINISHED!!
Jesus declared of Himself to be, "the first and the last" ... "Alpha
and Omega, the beginning and the end"! The full
revelation of God goes no further than the Lord Jesus Christ. The buck
stops at Him! Scripture says, "in him dwelleth all the fulness of
the Godhead bodily." No other man comes anywhere near making this
great declaration we read from in the holy scriptures. He is "the
author and finisher of our faith." What you
have
read and been told about Jesus outside this divine revelation is
nothing short of lies and deceit. You cannot add to or take away
from the Son of God. These are from His very own uttered and
recorded words, being
confirmed by the Holy Bible as His final authority in everything.
This also means the Holy Bible
cannot be just another holy book or just another revelation or series
of
teachings from God. The Holy Bible claims to be God's complete,
kept and preserved word for every generation, for now and
forever. Therefore, it too is either what it says it is or it
isn't. Meaning ... the Holy Bible is either a fraud or it
is actually what it claims to be. Which means (as it was
written by
men under the inspiration of God's holy Spirit) it is either from God
or it is a
complete fabrication. God is either its author or this book needs
blacklisting as an impostor book, and avoiding like the so-called "bird
flu". Yes, it is either the word of God or the word of
fables and fantasies, and nothing in between! No other book in
the world would or could declare the following:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all".
Or this:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in
his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that
are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this
time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him
which believeth in Jesus."
"For as by one man's disobedience
(Adam)
many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one
(Jesus)
shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the
offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more
abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."
Scripture says that salvation is a FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15, 16 &
18). Which means, it can't be learnt, earned, bought, conjured or psyched up,
or traded. His name is JESUS!
In conclusion, ignore what Christendom, the West, or
any
religion has to offer or represent (Satan's great masquerades).
Scripture is very clear when it says "whosoever shall call on
the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Oh ... and lastly (taking up where we began): Did you know the New
Testament
does not in any way advocate, going after, taking out, or any acts of
reprisal in anyway, towards your enemies? In fact, it says the
opposite. It says (as in the words of Jesus) to love and pray for
your enemies, and not to repay evil with evil, but to overcome evil
with good. This is basically because every one of us have been born in
the same
boat, so to speak. Whether we are born Arab or Jew, Persian or
European, black or white (after all - we have no choice in when, where,
or what
we are born into) we are born into Adam anyway, who rebelled against
God, which took mankind with him.
Yes, we are all sinners in need of a saviour which God has
provided. Moreover, the command for His followers today is to go and
make disciples
of ALL nations and not to make war or take the sword to anyone.
Jesus said,
"My kingdom
is not of this world:
if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I
should not be delivered to the Jews
(for execution): but now is my
kingdom not from hence."
When you are in Christ this makes you NOT OF this present world,
whether you happen to be living in a Moslem, Christian, Atheistic,
Heathen
country, or whatever. However, the Bible also says that we are still
IN IT (the world that is) in order to
be witnesses for God's kingdom. If we die as a result of living for
this
cause, then we are true martyrs for the gospels sake, and not because
we have taken out our enemies or the innocent. Suicide is
never an option and is not seen by God as martyrdom at all, but murder
and
abusing His temple (our bodies). Which is also Satan's ultimate
victory.
The Bible is clear that the everlasting fire was "prepared for the
devil and his angels", not man. However, hell (the place where
the unrepentant go straight after they die, whether they are a suicide
bomber or self-righteous or whatever) and all Christ rejecters, will be
thrown into
this eternal place of suffering after judgement day, with no second
chance to change their minds.
To sum this all up
... the scriptures say that when a Christian is absent from the
body (died in other words) he is present with the Lord. The greatest
glory and joy for
anyone is to be ushered instantly into the presence of the Lord.
This is the gospel! The good news from heaven! Hope to see you in
paradise!
"For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared
above all gods."
To the Jewish Reader (in
regards to the man from Galilee)
The Bible is very clear that the WHOLE WORLD
is guilty of the murder of
Jesus Christ. Which lets no one off the hook when any
individual
or group of people wave the banner of innocence, by the way. Just as
Pilate tried to wash his
hands when he was confronted with the man who claimed to be THE TRUTH
...
no one can run, hide, or side-step the man from Galilee when confronted
with this dilemma ... "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called
Christ?"
Therefore, the Romans in
order to keep order and peace in occupied Judea, did just that,
and the very reason this verse was recorded in Acts:
"For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed,
both Herod,
and Pontius
Pilate,
with the Gentiles,
and the people of
Israel, were gathered
together,
For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy
counsel determined before to be done."
There it is! No one is innocent before the Lord when it comes to
Jesus. ALL men have to repent (through Him) in order to attain
eternal life! Fulfilling the whole chapter of ISAIAH FIFTY
THREE to a tee, at the
tree:
1 Who hath believed our report
(Romans
11:25)? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed
(always His chosen)?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant
(Luke 2:52), and as a root out of a
dry ground
(born of a virgin -
Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23): he hath no form nor comeliness; and
when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him
(beaten beyond recognition and dying on a
cross).
3 He is despised and rejected of men
(Luke
17:25);
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our
faces from him; he was despised
(1
Corinthians 1:28), and we esteemed him not
(even his close friends denied Him -
Matthew 26:35).
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs
(Matthew
8:16-17), and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted
("My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
me?" - Psalms 22:1; Matthew 27:46).
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities
(Mark 15:18-20):
the chastisement of our peace was upon him
(Colossians
1:20); and with his stripes we are
healed
(1 Peter 2:24).
6 All we like sheep have gone astray
(Romans
3:23); we have turned every one to
his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all
(2 Corinthians 5:21).
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted
(Matthew 26:67-28; 27:30), yet he
opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter
(John 1:29), and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth
(Matthew 27:12).
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment
(John 18:28):
and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the
land of the living
(Mark 15:37):
for the transgression of my people
(Israel) was he stricken
(Matthew 15:24).
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his
death
(Matthew 27:57);
because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth
(1 Peter 2:22 ).
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief
(Hebrews 2:9): when thou shalt
make his soul an offering for sin
(Hebrews
10:14), he shall see his seed
(Romans
8:29), he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD
shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be
satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many
(Mark 10:45); for he shall bear their iniquities
(Acts 3:26).
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong
(Matthew
27:35); because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he
was numbered with the transgressors
(Mark
15:28); and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for
the transgressors
(Romans 15:3).
You may hate the name of Jesus and
detest who and what He stands for. Or you may tolerate Him
as just another (fortunate or unfortunate) product of history. Or just
another rebel with a lost cause. Or
just a harmless figurehead to cash in on during a festive time.
However, the fact
is, Messiah came as the suffering servant of God the first time and as
scripture says (John 1:11), "He came unto his own
(the Jews),
and
his own received him not."
Two points to make here:
One ... any present or future messiah will be an impostor and not
sent by Jehovah at all, who will be a charming deceiver and hidden
tyrant
(Daniel 8:25), to Israel's detriment and destruction (1 Thessalonians
5:3). As Jesus said, "if another shall come in his own name, him
ye will receive."
When some were bold enough, and caring enough, and tried to warn that
Hitler's intentions were evil towards the Jews, and not to listen to
the Third Reich's promises of greener pastures to the west (via
cattle train), it may pay to read what the New Testament says after
all. After all, why be put off by all those using the "Christian"
facade over the centuries, to come against you and cruelly persecute
you (contrary to what Jesus taught), and discredit what the
true gospel meant in the first place ... bearing glad
tidings, "to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile"? Which,
incidentally, went out first from the city of Jerusalem two millennia's
ago.
One must understand that if all Jewry had been eradicated by Satan's
human agencies pre cross, then there would've been no
Messiah/Saviour. If all of Jewry was eradicated post cross, then
there would be no future restored Israel, nor the throne of David,
where Messiah (the Holy One of Israel) will rule from for a 1,000 years
as a righteous, fair and just king. By the way, prophetically,
this is just around the corner, where the false messiah and his
pre-empt millennium kingdom will be dealt a final blow by Christ
Himself. Of course, the only way this counterfeit millennium can be achieved is by
removing or hi-jacking present day Israel. Has the penny dropped
by now?
Two ... just because a believer in Christ is no longer
governed by the law of
Moses, but is now under grace and truth, this does not mean he despises
the law, as it was God's legitimate way of using it as a school
teacher by showing up our inadequacies and sinful condition, and
pointing us to
the fulfilment
of the
Passover as our true hope, which the New Testament records and
presents. As the verse goes
... "For even Christ
our
passover is
sacrificed for us".
As Jesus had symbolically smitten the fig tree which did not bare
fruit, God smote Israel by scattering
them around the world after destroying their temple (Jeremiah 8:13),
and using the
Romans as a sword against them. God's people of old had rejected
their Messiah and now God was opening His kingdom to the
Gentiles (Matthew 21:43). The pruned vine was about to be grafted in
with new
branches from the Gentile nations, which would bare fruit. The good
news for Israel is that
God never gives up on His people (it is us who gives up on Him, leaving
Him no alternative but to hand us over to "confusion of faces" - Daniel
9:8) as Jewish people
are finding Jesus and being grafted back into the vine on an individual
basis.
After Jesus'
death on the cross the veil in the temple was torn in two making a way
into the presence of God for all people of all lands, on the
condition they acknowledged their guilt towards God and received His
Son
as redeemer and Lord. This is the best news and best hope one
could ever hope for ... free access into God's presence!
Today, is not the time to place your hope and trust in ceremonies or
the law which can't save. Nor in false promises and traditions (2
Chronicles 17:4; Isaiah 30:10-11) ... but the passover lamb God
provided 2,000
years ago, fulfilling all the past necessary requirements of
Israel. The Son has always been Israel's ordained King.
Embrace Him now and escape the wrath to come, irrespective of whether
it comes in the guise of Pharaohs, Nebuchadrezzars, Nazis, Holy Offices,
inquisitions, suicide bombers, or even peace makers.
Psalms 2:12 speaks of the true Prince of Peace:
"Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish
from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all
they that put their trust in him."
Shalom in Him!
