Welcome to page twenty-one of a journey through the year 2002 in my garden.
Fifth Week of May

T
he Coreopsis are blooming profusely now. I dead-head them daily in the hopes of extending their season.

The begonia, impatiens, and vincas that are growing in pots are doing great. This year I've giving them a feeding of Miracle Grow now and then, as well as much of garden. We've had a couple of nice rains, too, which is always good.

T he blue flower pictured is larkspur that has just begun to bloom. Last year I had one plant that I bought at the plant sale at Will Rogers. I collected the seeds and scattered them last fall, then quite forgot them until they started to bloom this year.
